How tall is the Popadome** A: Yes, Popadome can sit on a patio, but does need some form of restraining. We suggest tying a weight to each corner, ( perhaps a brick). Popadome is 4 feet (1.2m) high. Do let us know how successful this method is. Happy gardening! **Q: How well does it do on windy days - is the anchoring up to the job? Thanks in advance.** A: This will be my fourth year of using these Popadomes. I have had no problem with the anchoring during some very sever summer storms. My garden is not in a particularly exposed position. I do take them down every Autumn and put them up again when the growing season starts. They are easy to dismantle and erect and have not been damaged in the process. I have five of them. **Q: how can it protects from slugs/snails if the holes in the net are so big?** A: As the previous answer, the copper foil is a deterrent plus the holes are only 10mm, so only the smaller pests can get in. I'm more concerned about cabbage white butterflies and pigeons, for which this is perfect. Slug pellets are another option if you are prepared to use them. **Q: My raised bed is just short of 4ft by about an inch. Will the popadome shrink to fit ?** A: The rods are same as those of a tent. They have flexibility. The Popadome is essentially a tent, except the walls are made of netting. I bought it because I wanted to stop the birds eating my strawberries, and I can't be bothered with making a bamboo frame. The instructions do not lie: you really can assemble this in a few minutes. Just like with a dome tent, you have some segmented poles that are held together by elastic. Pop them together and slide them into the channels on the tent. You then use the included pegs to hold the sides down. Just to make things even easier, there is a zippered door on one side, so you can get at your plants without dismantling everything. I also appreciated the slug-repellant copper lining on the edge. Nice touch.The whole thing comes in a compact carry bag, with a separate pouch to keep the ground pegs tidy. My only wish is that it were a little cheaper, but considering the hassle that it has saved, I think it's probably worth it.Most important of all, you have to respect whoever came up with the name.
