The media could not be loaded. This is a cute little night light that I think any young or teenage Taylor fan will like. I have a 15 year-old prima donna who has pretty much outgrown her Tay-Tay phase, but still secretly digs her. She also likes a night light at bedtime when she’s at my house. I showed her this online and she thought it was eye-roll-level “sorta” cool, and now that it’s here she likes it, but also thinks it’s a little silly and doesn’t want me to catch her enjoying it too much. 😊 That said, she has already checked out all the options via the remote and has it set on the slow auto cycle-through. My video shows the cycle-through at the end, but you can adjust the speed and intensity of the light. There is a lot of versatility in the color/brightness/speed options offered on the remote, and they all work well.This is a bit of a dinky item, but it works and is aesthetically pleasing. The best adjective to describe it is cute. The $22 price is fair, I think, but it is a tad dinky. It probably is manufactured for like $3 a unit, but it is a still a cool little thing for a reasonable price.The reason I detract a star is not due to the dinkiness or price, but the lack of clarity in the little instructional slip it comes with regarding its rechargeable battery, or batteries. A reasonably long USB charging cord for a computer or wall-wart plug is enclosed, and the input for the charging cord is easily found on the base. The unit also takes 3 AA batteries. The pamphlet however says the rechargeable batteries should be removed prior to charging. I don’t know if this means that you have to get rechargeable batteries and remove them before charging, or if they are already in there (if so I have no idea how to remove them, and the slip does not tell how). Anyway, I just put in three regular AAs and it works. It probably charges just fine with the supplied cord, and I suspect the rechargeable battery is in there and operates separately from any regular batteries you use, but the ambiguity is vexing and could be easily avoided with clearer explanation. I would like to be able to plug it in with the supplied cord so it doesn’t run down at night and require constant battery replacement, but I don’t know if that would work or be safe. I feel like the instructional slip should make all this clear, but oh well.Whatever the case, this nifty night light is likable, functional, versatile, and—most of all—cute as a button. For $20, you can make your little Tay-Tay fan happy, even if (like mine) they don’t want to admit they love it!
