Shaves like my 25-year-old Braun, fingernail to release head
My old Braun crapped out. It was more rectangular shaped and it had button releases on either side of the head to make it easy to remove. This razor is t-shaped, lighter, but it is awkward to remove the head as there are no release buttons. Rather, you need to get your fingernail in between to remove the head for cleaning. After a week's worth of removing the head I've finally got it down to where I feel comfortable removing it. Putting it back on is easy. Also, there is no built-in trimmer. My old Braun had a flip up trimmer built in whereas this one you remove the head and replace it with the included trimmer and snap it on. Kind of a pain. Otherwise I think the razor is great. Holds a great charge, smooth shave, and lightweight. UPDATE: since using shaver for 6 months I've put some pictures in demonstrating the removal and replacement of the head and of the trimmer. You need Strong fingernails to separate the heads from the razor itself. It's a bit inconvenient, but once you get used to it, it's really not that bad. The battery on this is great. Granted, I shave every 3 days, but the charge on this lasted for over 4 weeks. That would be at least 12 times on a single charge. Again, depending on the heaviness of your beard and frequency of shaving. I would not spend the extra money on the cleaning base with solution as that gets expensive as with my previous Braun razor. Now I just buy a can of lubricant spray meant for razors and a can of compressed air to clean out the razor head. Works great and it's cheap. I like the razor very much short of some of it's minor inconveniences.

Great Razor
Great electric razor. My old Series 3 Braun finally started having issues. This Series 7 is really nice and very comfortable. Good quality and gives a great shave. I like the three different speeds and it fits well in my hand.

One Brauny Upgrade for my Countenance over the Norelco 5560/81!
The first thing to know about this particular package is that it's, in essence, a bundle consisting of a modified 7020s shaver and an appliance dubbed Smart Cleaning Center S-5434 which also cleans & charges the shaver, hence the "cc" as part of its moniker. Incidentally, if the letter codes pique the🧠 cells; "s" indicates a charger & "cs" indicates a stand which one can safely place the shaver while charging. Other Features I. 360-degree Flex Head which theoretically follows the contours of the countenance no matter how it's shaped via two unique mounts this head can swivel up/down as well as left\right for the utmost comfort with minimal chafing skin sensitivity. II. A tripartite shaving head comprising of a central trimmer which is engineered to keep the long flat hairs tame & includes a micro comb used to guide the hair towards the blades, bookended by a pair of foil cutters which facilitates haircutting for a clean shave @ the skin level. This is enclosed in a cassette cartridge, This package can also move freely as well. III. Auto Sense Technology purports to adapt the shaver to the hair density on the face to try to deliver maximum hair cutting power. IV. Easy Click Attachments that snap on/off to the shaver body as needed via standardized connection, useful to trim the beard, mustache & sideburns! Other models include specialized combs to enable to have the unique look desired. One version is the 7089cc which was the runner-up to the 7071cc with the whole enchilada packing, not just the sideburn trimmer, beard & stubble trimmers but including 3 more cleaning cartridges to go with the Smart Cleaning Center but I didn't care for the Atilla The Hun look, IMHO, gray beards & mustaches are unattractive & I don't have a double chin either! In addition, the 7089 is BLACK which I loathe! V. Cordless Wet or Dry capability even shaving cream @ the cost of not working while working connected via an old-school outlet. The 7071cc has a lithium-ion polymer battery that charges in one hour which provides 50 minutes of shaving which gives me between 2.5-3 weeks of shaving. there's also a 5-minute quick shave opt n as well as the ability to run on voltages ranging from 110-240v. & either 50-60Hz making this shaver the consummate🌏 trekker, provided one has the appropriate local outlet adapter packed in the suitcase. Since the 7071 is exclusive to the 🇺🇲 and 🇨🇦 it's furnished with an American outlet. Build Quality & Ergonomics I feel that while earlier Braun series 7s gave a much closer & better shave, they are homely, while the present ones are comely especially the 7071's matte silver-gray, black body accented by a chrome-like ring below the head & cartridge border is pretty for a shaver! The body is plastic on the bottom & middle girdled by a dimpled rubble-like substance also along the middle to the top rear of the shaver to promote grippiness. The power switch in the front controls the status icons. switching it on will light up the battery level travel lock & cleaning reminder. The travel lock is activated/deactivated by pressing the button for 3 seconds. The shaver's rear is completely naked. also the thinner body & low weight contributes to the lack of handling issues concerning the 7071 and its operation. Unlike some critics who may opine about the lack of a button to release the cartridge head before its replacement 18 months later or for routine cleaning/lubricating the button could be the reason on loses either the shaver or the cartridges in my opinion, snapping it on & off is much preferable to the mechanism's malfunctioning to the detriment of the shaver or cartridge. & even if it's shekel saving, it's still markedly better than what I endured replacing the cartridge on the Norelco 5560/81 by disassembling the blue "O" ring & reinstalling each blade piece by piece as if it was an intricate puzzle in reverse which is a pain in the proverbial tuchas. Perhaps I'm not a power user as the critics might be but I had no problems with the agility because I adapted to the shaver. Included accessories with The Braun 7071cc 1. Smart Care Center S-5434, 2. One CCR Cartridge, 3. Charging Cord, 4. Beard Trimmer Attachment, 5. Cleaning Brush, 6. Travel Case, 7. Warranty Card & User "Manual" I concur with the consensus, save the Travel Case, a pretty good deal The travel case was way too small, I could only fit the shaver with the trimming attachment sticking out, an ill fit! & Forget about toting about the charging cord, that got booted from the case! I had to get a bigger case just to carry everything! I'm glad I didn't get the 7089, Even with the bigger case I still would not be able to carry all the hardware. The critic dislikes the operational manual I had no problem comprehending it, unlike the Travel case! Battery Longevity I agree with Braun's assessment about the length of the batteries; Even with the protracted shaving sessions, I get 3 weeks per charge. I also appreciate the charge gauge on this Series 7 shaver, which is better than the dots shown on the lesser shavers & is only surpassed by the digital ones on the Series 9 models. Shaver Performance Because I was trying to move up from a relatively cheap($100) level shaver, I expected a pragmatic compromise between the entry-level cutters & the >$300 state-of-the-art pinnacles which rival straight-edged old school razors I have a satisfying experience I never have any problems with foils getting "quite warm" I did note that it was the lubricant spray that I use instead of the cleaning solution for it as well as no tugging or any other issues. In addition, to lubbing the shaver I also rinse & air dry the shaver as well. The noise level was par for the course. Since I had atrocious luck with sideburn trimmers I only used it once, I had better luck with the sideburns by holding the shaver vertically going up & down the sideburn section. Cleaning & Maintenance Alas, Even though it was the Smart Care Center was the reason why I selected the 7170cc in the end it was one of the weakest links along with the aforementioned travel case. It looks like it was designed by dummkopfs, reminiscent of a 🦒 meaning it's impossible to run in the cubicle of a bathroom here. I would have no problem running it on the dresser top in the bathroom at the old place in addition the solution leaked everywhere & the fumes were a fire risk. This is on top of the omission of the three cleaning modes, the drying fan, meaning there's merely a tri-colored ring that indicates both the level & freshness of the cleaning solution, it glows blue when it's both full & fresh, yellow when the solution gets low or dirty meaning one can only use it a few more times & red when one has to replace the cartridge. Conclusion This is a pretty good shaver for the price as far as getting a decent shave the next step up from the entry-level models. I'm thrilled being over the moon & back again about this Braun 7071cc as such I will do the best I can to keep it in as good shape for as long as possible to the best of my finances & ability!

Love this shave.
I've been using a Panasonic for about 11 years. Blades go for 50 bucks or better every 6 months. I bought a Braun ( not the newest model), blades are much cheaper and last 3 times as long, up to 18 months. So now on to the new Braun. My first experience with the 7 was awesome and amazingly fast. It cleans easy and the noise is low. It is easy to exchange heads and maintain. Feels great on my face.

Not sure why the rate not high, the shaver is great, powerful and fast. Did a great job in a 4 days growth and very gentle on the skin. The head swivel is day and night compared to fixed head shavers. Bad reviews almost got me not to buy it but I am glad I did. This is way better than the top of the line prestige ultra Philips shaver that I had to return.

It has been decades since I purchased/used an electric shaver, it is fantastic BRAUN. You have done a wonderful job on this product. Braun always was the number one producer. I am eighty years old and I plan to use BRAUN for the next twenty years, God willing.
