This stuff works great!! However, I used it for pre-tattoo. If you want a tattoo, and would prefer no pain, you can apply this in the location an hour prior, wipe it off, and voila! No pain! It worked like a charm and my tattoo artist asked what I used. When I told her, we all had a good laugh. I also use it for my at home pre-microneedling. Same concept. No pain from the needles. Maybe one day I’ll need it for what it’s intended for, but for now, it’s perfect for numbing in general.

I use it for insect bites. Neighbors dog has fleas, and dog sits on my welcome mat (I like the dog so am not mean, like putting mouse trap on mat or anything like that). So I get fleas into the house occasionally. And cortisone doesnt' really work on these bites (at least for me). So I use lidocaine cream to dull the itch (keeps me from scratching until I bleed). And it works great. Most bites on my ankles. and I stop noticed the itch in ~7-10 minutes. Lasts easily 3-4 hours with just a dab. So GREAT products. Works for non-hemorrhoid application very well. So 5 stars

Works good. Strong enough to stop pain from 2 fractured vertebra and misaligned vertebra. Works for about 45 mins, which is great in collaboration w other painkillers. The only negative was that the lid was chipped in transit. I'm pretty sure the driver just threw it on my concrete porch.

I used this prior to having laser hair removal of my upper legs. Usually it’s excruciating for me to the point of literally crying, as if a hot fireplace poker is being dragged up the back of my thighs. The tech recommended 2 brands of numbing cream. I tried both and they barely took the egde off. With this Wellmate cream it goes on more like a moisturizer cream. The other brands were like a gel, that just sits on the skin. My legs get kind of dry in winter so I rubbed some in, let it absorb 10 mins then glopped some more on heavy. I wrapped my legs in plastic wrap and let it sit for an hour before my appointment. I could immediately feel the difference as I wiped the cream off my legs. My skin was truly numb. For once, the tech didn't have to keep stopping the treatment to put an ice pack on my legs. (That cryo from the laser device is just not enough!) I am so pleased with the results. I rarely write reviews but I knew I had to write one for this stuff. It’s amazing. I’m so happy.

When I tell you that this cream calmed the worst pain I’ve ever experienced in my life…. I have a lower leg wound with severely macerated (more like obliterated) skin with exposed tissue and nerve endings. I had natural childbirth. I passed a kidney stone I didn’t even know I had, sober and unmedicated. I had to have an emergency cholecystectomy due to gallstones. But any of these would be a walk in the park compared to the pain I’m assuming is from a thousand exposed nerves firing at the slightest thing. On a scale of 1-10, natural childbirth is a solid 10, all day. But exposed nerves pain? It’s not uncommon for the pain to shoot off the charts and stay there most of the day. It’s exhausting. Both physically AND mentally. That’s when it’s time for this cream to shine. This stuff WORKS. And it works fast. I think I read somewhere that it usually takes creams or sprays about 20-30 minimum to start working. This cream calms the nerves and numbs/dulls the pain within just a few minutes. Before I found this cream I tried several other lidocaine products and compared to other 5% products I’ve tried, this cream is hands down the best in its class. It’s light, absorbs quickly, doesn’t smell, and the absolute very best part is IT DOESN’T BURN OR STING AT ALL!! I recommend this cream to everyone, everywhere, for every reason. Disclaimer: I don’t think these creams are supposed to be applied to open wounds or large areas of broken skin but I’ve been using lidocaine products for months. I have not yet died from lidocaine toxicity, nor do I intend to. I’m not going out like that. Absolutely not.

Im in the process of getting a full sleeve blackout tattoo using a 45 needle cartridge. These are brutal sessions with heavily packed ink. My 1st session, without the cream I had to tap out after 4 hours. Today I applied the cream in a thick coat over my entire upper arm then wrapped it in plastic for an hour. Wiped it off and sat for 8 hours, most of which was painless. It does change the texture of your skin so ask your artist if they mind you using it. Mine says its more difficult to spread the skin after using it but that its worth it because I sat better for my session.

I'm a 20+ year professional tattoo artist. I had a good client ask to use this for thier tattoo (not the products intended purpose). It's the highest over the counter lidocaine content. After tattooing them I decided to try on myself. In all honesty I was absolutely amazed how well the numbing worked. As far as how the skin reacts, it's not good. Makes the skin very rubbery. For any tattooers looking for a numbing cream, this is not the one. I don't recommend using it for anything other than its intended purpose. For anyone with roids, it's probably a great product!
