I was sceptical about buying this online, because you never really know what you're getting. The ones I have found in stores are really flimsy and made of cardboard. Not this one... its great!!! sturdy, made of wood, its soft and fits great. When you sit on the lid it doesn't give like the others, you don't feel like you're going to fall in. After tightening the nuts it didn't even wiggle...My family love it!. we are a big family and there are kids just running around. the last one i bought broke when one of the kids ran to use the bathroom and tried to stop with the toilet seat... the price is about the same as the ones you find at other retailers and its better quality.

Came well packaged - protected from scratches, tears, etc. Fittings are strong & good looking. Was very easy to install & fits toilet nicely. Have been using for over a month & it has stayed tightly secured. Very comfortable to sit on. Good for child & adult. Gives a child or smaller adult feeling of security where regular toilet seat made them feel as if they were going to fall into the toilet. Highly recommend

Have been using this for over a month now and so far no cracks as stated in other reviews. The seat is nice and soft and it took about 15 minutes to install. So far am happy with this purchase and hope that it holds up. Will update if it doesn't. 1/7/2015 update Toilet seat developed split seam on one side and a crack on the other after around 5 months of use. Contacted the company and they issued a replacement immediately. Very good customer service. We'll see what happens if this one starts to crack and split.

When I bought my house, I installed a padded toilet seat from a big box store in the wife's bathroom. It lasted about a year. The vinyl creases and then cracks/splits along the creases. Those edges can actually cut the skin. So, I was very reluctant to buy this one, but did so because it was slightly more expensive and claimed to last. Well, it has lasted about five years with no creasing or cracking. I highly recommend it.

If you’re looking for an elongated cushion, this is truly one. Also, if it slips out of your fingers when you’re closing the lid, it doesn’t make a big brouhaha and wake the neighbors. It just lands with a muffled thump. Very comfortable for lengthy um... sits. Thanks to prime delivery, you can enjoy it quite soon after ordering. Installed in no time and can be done without special tools, but definitely benefits from a seat tightening tool. Nice!

ok, I bought this over a year ago...I see what people are saying w/ the complaint about the hinges. I've had problems w/ one...but it IS soft, so I don't get that some say it's not soft or soft enough. However, mine had faded...It does say to use a mild soap, but a mild soap wouldn't clean well enough, so I've used lysol or stronger cleaner and now, my toilet seat, that I happen to really like, has become discolored. I'd most certainly buy this one again but I'd rather pay a little more and get something that will keep its color better. But, if I can't find one as comfy as this, I guess I'll get this one again. I've been spoiled. I just don't want to have to keep buying a new toilet seat every year (

I bought this over a year ago to replace my seat with plastic hinges, but decided to wait until my old seat fell apart before installing it. Those plastic hinges don't work for me as they do not hold the seat still. This toilet seat is wonderful! The hinges are metal and everything feels solidly in place when you sit down. I will definitely buy again. Just wish they offered this one in beige.

Finally! A toilet seat that does not have those nylon clips that hold it on the bowl that always seem to slide around when you reach around for the toilet paper making you feel like you are going to fall in! Love the metal hinges that are solid and held into place with no movement. We have installed two of these and both are working out terrific. We bought them for the option of the no sliding hinges and such, but the padded comfort is awesome as well. The item was exactly as described, well packaged and quick to ship with great delivery time.

Had one before from a store but they dont carry it any more so Amazon to the rescue again. This one is much more durable than the one that you buy at Walmart

This is a super product, installed it myself and just love it. The chrome fittings really give it quite a good look.
