Inevitably the strap would flop around and slip off over my sneaker. This attachment makes a world of difference when doing leg repetitions; the ankle strap is just the right size to conform to different ankle widths. The velcro is industrial strength so I don't see any problem with durability and they're sturdy enough to allow for an effective muscle workout. As far as the comfort feature, the velcro can be a nuisance if wearing low cut socks.
