This is a great price for these meat sticks. I counted 29 sticks in the latest delivery, which works our to about 55 cents each. And they taste awesome! My College Kid gets me to have these shipped to him at school. These don't need to be refrigerated until the package is open. That's the only drawback - because these are not individually wrapped, once the package is open , it needs to stay cold. But that's not a biggie, and my kid usually eats these within a couple weeks, anyway. And, even though these need to be refrigerated after opening, they are still good to eat for a couple days after removing from the fridge, so you can throw a few in a ziplock and take with you to a ball game, camping, fishing, etc. Great Meat Sticks!

They have a good flavor overall, they are a bit salty for my liking and they have a very mushy texture, but when you cut the links into little rounds and fry them up in a pan, they go from “ok beef snack sticks” to “very good sausage bites” and then, I mixed the cooked sausage pieces into some scrambled eggs with a little garlic & onion powder, hot sauce, black pepper, parmesan & Italian herb white cheddar cheese… and that changed the game! It made an amazing breakfast dish from these otherwise mid tier beef sticks, if you get these, I highly recommend crisping them up in a pan at the very least, but you should try it with the eggs 💯

I have ordered a total of 17 bags of these Old Wisconsin " beef stick snack," in the 26oz plastic bag; Bar Coded 73170 32026 since Oct. 28, 1923. These products have no visible Date Of Manufacture or Any Listed Expiration Date !! From 10/28/2023 through 3/15/2024 I have purchased a total of 11 bags of these. All were nicely vacuum packed for longer term storage. I do know that refrigeration is required, once the seal is opened. However; on 6/21/2024 I ordered 3 more bags. None of which; were vacuum sealed. A cost cutting measure at the corporate level. On 6/28/2024 I posted the question " Why is this not being vacuum packed for storage, any longer ?" More than a year later & not the first reply from the manufacturing company or it's marketing operations. On 10/30/2025 I decided to order more; in hopes that that proper food safety practices, had been followed. On 11/10/2025 my latest & last order arrived. --- Due to excessive bacterial growth; that has caused complete contamination.... These products are not safe for human consumption !!! However; the excessive amount of bacterial growth could not have occurred in a couple days, while in transit to the consumer !! Which brings up the next fact. The amount of contamination was clearly obvious & quite visible. Therefore; there is no justifiable reason or excuse for allowing these dangerous products to be shipped out for human consumption !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have purchased before and this is a good product, however this last time the beef was moldy. Didn't see any holes, but it was not edible.
