An excellent piece of kit. As a physicist, I would have preferred the device to have been calibrated in kilopascal rather than hPa - three significant figures are more than adequate. I don't believe the barometer could resolve pressure down to one hPa anyway. However, it's a nice looking thing with a pleasing analog display. Aesthetically it has earned my wife's approval too. Over the recent period of bad weather it kept quite nicely in agreement with pressure readings from the Internet. It also consistently followed our eighty-year old barometer in the hall - allowing for the latter's calibration in old-fashioned inches of water!

This is very accurate. I can see the air pressure at home so I can do my own weather reports. Its a nice small size. Easy to read display similar to a clock.

I bought this machine mostly for the barometer function so I can live with the flaws, even though they’re a bit annoying. The barometer is accurate, I have checked it against the local weather station multiple times and it’s never been off. However it has 3 dials total - the big barometer (fine), a thermometer (broken) and hygrometer (broken), the latter two being smaller dials inside the big one. They didn’t work from the start, I’ve checked them loads and no joy. I thought maybe they were battery powered, giving the listing mentions batteries, but there is nowhere to insert any batteries of any size. I’ve accepted they don’t work, although it would be useful to have them. I figure if all you want is a barometer then this is fine, but if you want all three functions then maybe try a different one.

Very pleased with this, it's attractive and once set up to your local area pressure works extremely well.

Item smaller than expected

My experience with this product was very poor. The barometer must be calibrated before use, which is perfectly normal, and is accomplished by turning the pointer to the known current reading using a small adjustment screw on the back. An accurate calibration reading can easily be obtained on the internet - I use a reading from a local airport cross checked with the BBC. Unfortunately, even the slightest turn of the adjustment screw spun the pointer far too much and this was the case in both directions. After about 20 minutes of fiddling the thing settled down at the locally established value. This barometer was clearly very happy at 1018 because it sat there for days with no inclination to move in either direction even though the pressure was in fact dropping over that period. After a week of infuriating re-adjustments of the sort already described it was clear that this barometer was determined to stay put at whatever reading I set it to, no matter what. I informed the Seller who obligingly issued an immediate refund without further enquiry and did not ask for it to be returned. I have disposed of this device, it is clearly defective.

What a fantastic modern looking barometer. It's easy to read, looks stylish in a modern home and is accurate. It doesn't need any batteries and needs calibrating once a year. Far more accurate in predicting the weather than my phone app. Really useful for someone likes me who loves the outdoors and can use this to know when to bring the washing in. :)
