It took a bit for me to get the hang of the PiBox. I bought it to use in an attempt to recover files from the SSD on my laptop which had crashed. I finally accessed it, and found that while Disk Management (PC - Windows) showed the drive, it was inaccessible. I downloaded a free limited use scanner tool, which did find files and recovered them, but they were corrupted beyond use. I did buy a Samsung SSD to use with it (at least until I try to re-format the old SSD), which again took me a bit to get connected. The heat mat pulled the connections loose when I slid the box back together. The plug to hold the SSD in place did not hold. It was VERY TIGHT when closing with heat mat in place but it seems to be controlling heat well. The transfer speeds have been good on the few files I have moved around. The options of USB C and USB 2 cords is very nice. I do wish there were extra plugs included. I lost the included one pretty quickly. The company does not ship directly to the US. I'll keep looking elsewhere. The free stand which was included is interesting. The attached photo and screen shot were taken at same time.

The enclosure delivers promised speeds of upto 10Gbps, I am using it with a WD Nvme Gen4 SSD and am getting around 950 MBps read & write. The build material and finishing of the enclosure is top notch as it is fully made up of alumninium and feels premium, truly value for money at this price point. We must use the thermal pad provided with the enclosure, it works fine in transferring the heat from SSD to the enclosure body which is made up of aluminium, the enclosure does get warm when SSD is in use. We get everything we need with the Enclosure in the travel pouch. Team PiBox really have put in efforts for their products!

This product from piBox is awesome. I have purchased many items from this brand so far, and I can vouch for them, they have grown up to be the best ever Electronics brand is what I think The build quality, the cable, everything is perfect about this product. The connectivity was simple. I just had to plug in my SSD and plug it to my PC and everything started working flawlessly. After an extensive use, I could see the heat being dissipated through the passive cold system. Because of which at least I didn’t notice any performance throttling. Along with this product, I got a pouch for it and a free mobile stand. They are finish too is up to the mark I got this product for around ₹1020
