This works well!
I have to admit I was skeptical at first but this item works very well. I have a 2010 Tahoe with AFM. This device makes your drive more consistent. Now when you step on the accelerator from a stop, you go, this device removes the short seconds of sluggishness where the truck is deciding which cylinder mode to use as you take off.

Easy plug and play and functional
At first I was skeptical, but it does work, my truck is allways on v8 mode, stupid DOD is by far the dumbest thing gm has come up with on trucks, I bought a v8 for the power on demand not displacement on demand, no check engine light whatsoever, I’ve had it for a week now and no issues whatsoever. Should’ve bought a tuner but this is a good cheap alternative. If you want your v8 to kick in when you need the power and not wait for that lag of DOD to stop and v8 to kick in, buy this, it’s easy to install and remove, ama look into a performance tuning plug and play device tho, I believe my z71 should have more juice to put out.

Does what its suppose to do (Stay in V8)
For what it is it does its job. I have a 2014 GMC Sierra. The truck has the fuel management system to where it will switch from V4 to V8 when there is a load and visa versa. This device will temporarily keep the vehicle in V8 mode unless you unplug it. Note: The only Con would be that obviously your gas mileage is going to be effected. Before I was getting roughly 18 mpg with the disabler closer to 15/16 mpg. (In the city). Would recommend this product if you want your rig to consistently stay in V8 for that extra power when you need it.

Unplug if you don’t daily drive
Works as described. It will drain the battery. Car sat for about a day and an half. Battery was dead. Just make sure you unplug it if you don’t daily drive your car with this device.

Works perfect
I run this on my 2017 chevy silverado 4.3 6 cylinder. No problems at all, functions perfect. Just plug it in and go, your engine runs on all cylinders all the time. I never unplug it, so far no issues with battery drain after seven days. No noticeable difference in fuel economy either.

Buy it if your having issues in low rpm gears
So far it works great if you don't drive ur truck for a couple days may low drain battery but doesn't draw a lot at all and makes a huge diff with the vlom or afm maybe burns more gas around town but on freeway no diff

It does what it says but.........
3 stars may be too many. I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1/2 tone witha 5.3 liter V8. The device does appear to do what it says. It keeps the truck in V8 mode. Does it do it mechanically or does it just keep the display screen from changing what it says? I sent this back as it made my truck run worse than when it wasnt plugged in. The main reason I bought it was to keep the truck in V8 mode and stop the switching back and forth to V4. The truck felt sluggish at lower speeds similar to when the AFM was active. It also made the transmission rough when downshifting for a stop. This was never a problem before and stopped once the module was removed. Like I said, it appears to do what it says but the truck did not perform as well as without the module. Guess I will try one of the more expensive ones

worked perfect on my Camaro 2018

Just wonderful. No more rough downshifts and hesitation when I step on the accelerator. Much smoother drive. I got it for my 2020 sierra 1500 with the 6-gear transmission.

The first thing I did when I bought this vehicle was by this item it was inexpensive and it works great gas mileage didn't even change now I don't have to worry about that deactivation system coming on also do the upgrade and remove the thermostat from the transmission I bought this used truck back in January and it was well taken care of hopefully the lifter issue won't come on but it stays in V8 when all the time which is a relief
