We love it!
I couldn’t be happier with the Troy Studio Thick Sound Absorbing Interlocking Floor Mats! These mats have been a game-changer for my home music studio. From the moment I unpacked them, I could tell they were made with quality in mind. The high-density material feels durable yet lightweight, and the interlocking design makes them incredibly easy to assemble. The soundproofing performance is outstanding. I use these mats under my sons electric drum set, and they’ve significantly reduced vibrations and noise transfer to the floor. The non-slip feature is another huge plus—everything stays securely in place, even during intense drumming sessions. Overall, these mats are a must-have for any musician or studio owner looking to improve acoustics and minimize noise. They’re practical, effective, and well worth the investment. Highly recommend!

Works great
Very easy to use, and does a very good job of reducing echo and reverb.

Nice and thick, easy to assemble
These are nice and thick, perfect for under my son’s drum kit so the neighbors can hear it a bit less. They are also very solid so the don’t “squish” underfoot. I was easily able to cut a few to fit around corners using a box cutter.

Small but nice
These are nice but you will need to buy literally 3-5x as many as you think you’ll need. The scale on these pictures is way off. Overall happy just wound up needing a lot more

Sadly, did not absorb any sound
I wanted to like this, material was nice and they were precision cut but as for sound absorption, it completely fell short.

Helps to Absorb Echo Sound from Piano
We purchased the .5 inch mat to put under our Yamaha piano. The sound of the piano was too loud for the space and thought these mats would help absorb the sound. They did. Don't expect a miracle, but the echoing and glaring sound was reduced. They were easy to assemble, come with two sided tape that you can use to make sure they don't slide. And they also look great on the floor. Highly recommend for piano!

Not a bad quality product
Three stars because the product seemed SO much bigger online. I will need to buy a few more packs for my son’s gaming setup. Very easy to install. It is a bit pricey, but the quality seems good. It definitely keeps the noise down somewhat.

Measure twice and order once (80 tiles for and 8x10 foot rug!)
I'm writing this review in response to a handful of people who wrote that the tiles are smaller than illustrated, that you need to order more than you think, or that that not enough were ordered. I thought I'd avoid this by running the numbers and I did it wrong, so I'm writing an example here to make it easier for everyone who is interested in these soundproofing mats and hasn't placed an order yet. I have a 7.6' x 9.7' foot rug, which is roughly 92" x 116" inches. To cover this area, I need 10 mats the long way x 8 the short way, which is equal to 80 tiles, or approximately 6 packages of these mats. I did the math wrong and ended up with many fewer than I actually needed, though it is no fault of TroyStudio, rather, I wasn't careful with my measurements. Measure twice and order once and you'll be fine! I haven't tested to see how the sound proofing is yet as I need more mats to finish the job, but I've got my fingers x'd!
