MaxiNutrition Fuel Max Plus Formerly Maxifuel Sports Gel with Caffeine 70 g - Citrus Burst by MaxiNutrition

I originally left a positive review because I’ve been using this gel for a long time now and it works well in my opinion - however I received an old batch from this seller which is a shame; expiry date is July 2019 (3 months from purchase date) and they’re completely ineffective - no caffeine kick at all - so can only imagine they must have been sitting in a hot warehouse somewhere for over a year (last batch I bought had 1yr and 4 months before expiry). For this reason I’m changing my review. It’s a shame about the expiry date because I bought two boxes which will now go in the bin.

I received my gels today, all good until I noticed the best before date of Jul '19. That wasn't mentioned anywhere in the description and I don't think getting through 24 gels in a month and a half is average consumption. Really not happy, will be complaining and expecting a refund (with no fee for postage)!

This is a really great product that I have used for a couple of years now. Unfortunately this time around the product arrived damaged with a couple of gels having split and leaked everywhere. Couldn't be bothered to try and organise a return as had so many issues with this in the past!

Nice taste . Easy to digest and not too sticky
