Great project, fun to build
This was a blast to build. Kudos to the designers, each part fit together exactly exactly as it was designed, no need to force anything. Instructions are excellent and the pieces are all well numbered in their respective boards. It has forward gears first and second, as well as neutral, and reverse. A few tips: --Instructions say to use wax on the gears; you will need your own wax as customs does not allow them to include it. --Parts all easily snapped out of their template, no breakage, but take care when removing them and you will have no problems.. --Instructions say a 14 year old can build it. This is probably true, but it should be a 14 year old with patience as it took me about 16-18 hours overall to build it. The three wine casks, for example, took an hour to assemble, and the four wheels also took about an hour (total) as there are multiple tiny parts for each. --Some of the parts fit snugly in place. That's good, but sometimes it's a balance of how much force/pressure to exert. I only broke one piece out of 474 pieces and the one I broke came with extra pieces just in case. --Similar to the aforementioned comment, I found it helped to have a pair of needle nose plyers handy when joining a few pieces, especially the wine casks. Overall I can highly recommend this fun project.

Challenging but worth it.
If this is the first wooden model you are looking to assemble look elsewhere. Very challenging with many small pieces. Instructions are great and the model works well if you follow them to a T. Have a good quality glue on hand in case you break a piece or something doesn't want to stay together. If you have some experience with wooden models I highly recommend this kit.

So much fun!
I loved building this little steam engine. The parts are all well cut and fit together with very little sanding or adjustment. I especially love how detailed and intricate the design is, and that the pieces came in different colors to add contrast and make for a great display piece once assembled. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. This kit comes with everything you need right out of the box, but I did add a dab of glue very occasionally just to add stability. I wouldn’t say glue is necessary though. I like to take my time building models, and I finished this one in about 5 days, working on it for just a few hours each day. Already looking forward to the next kit from this brand!

Husbands hobby and he liked this one! Had some difficulty which gave him a challenge. Went together well and all parts were there and everything works as should

Rubber washer difficulties
This must be my 9th or tenth ROKR puzzle. I've enjoyed the assembly up until step 13, attaching the large wheels. The video shows the assembler easily sliding the wheels onto the axle. This was not my experience at all. It took quite a bit of force to overcome the rubber friction of the little square washers. Despite my trying to be very careful, I slipped twice, breaking a couple of other small pieces. These can be repaired, but why is the friction is so high? The reason that I slipped is that so much force was required. Also, I must have done additional damage because the drive gears no longer engage properly, and I may have to back out to fix it. And it is just as difficult to remove the round washers, which I'm most certainly going to have to do. I can pass on a tip I discovered for pushing the rubber washers onto the axles. I found an old ballpoint pen with an opening just large enough for the axle to go through. It was possible to unscrew the tip from the pen. Once a washer has been started at the end of an axle, the tip can be used to provide a good grip in order to provide an even force on all sides to the washer in order to push it on to the shaft.

Steam tractor
A fun build! Take your time! Be sure to check your linkages for shifting repeatedly to be certain they are moving freely and properly!

Very High Quality
Far beyond my expectations! Quality of each piece was certainty one of the best I have seen. Instructions were clear and the final product will certainly be on display in a prominent place in my office. Very please with every phase of this item.

High Hopes, Disappointing
I have built 6 other Rokr products and all included good materials, clearly written instructions, and pieces that fit together well. I looked forward to this model and I did finish it but it tried my patience. Like all Rokr products, it's important to read the instructions and follow the prompts, this set of instructions were often confusing, particularly the illustrations. Upon opening the box I carefully reviewed all the parts that were included, however many were mislabeled and I had to hunt around to make sure I had the required parts to begin. Rokr parts have always been well made, in this case, parts were flimsy, often not staying attached to the section you were working on, I have never had to use quick drying glue to hold sections together on all my other models but with this one I had to use glue to stick pieces together in critical sections. I also found there were fewer videos available to help construct areas around the back half of this model. Some parts that were used to join pieces together did not hold and I was forever having to double back and reattach critical areas. The illustration on the videos shows an assembly to attach the cart to the steam engine, there were no such parts in my model. As for working, some sections do but the gears did not match up properly to move the model. The smokestack was a bear to attach and I broke an already weak axle, but glue and a narrow aluminum strip enabled me to put it together....even stronger than the original piece. I did finish it and cosmetically it looks fine sitting on a display shelf. It appears to me that the designers of this model tried to do too many things that potentially could cause a problem in building, it's the first kit that I have had a problem building. I like the looks of the model and the colors, but it was a difficult build.

A quality kit that is well designed, it builds up nicely in stages with clear instructions. Every tool you need for the build is included except for a craft knife or scalpel. It's a lengthy build with some challenges, but patiently following the instructions will yield a worthwhile result.

Took a lot longer to build than the box says. Like a lot longer. Looks amazing when its done and runs so smoothly.

I purchased several ROKR 3D puzzles for Christmas gifts 2025. The quality is amazing. The finished product is even better that the photos. I couldn't believe how affordable they are. Anyone who loves a challange will love these! I will be purchasing more for gifts.

Another amazing model. ROKR and Rolife definitely make the highest quality models. I’ve mentioned before that when I do these, I tint the wooden cut edges to match the piece. This is only where they are going to be seen and it certainly makes piece and the model look a lot better. I use furniture repair markers available on Amazon. I have built at least 15 Rolife/Rokr models in the past year and this was definitely the MOST COMPLEX! Take if slow. I would really like to know how they design these and produce them. It boggles my mind. My only issue is that when it’s all complete what do you do with it? It’s not a toy that you’re gonna let a child play with and it’s nice to show someone that it is motorized, but I think I prefer the static models that you can just display. So much work went into the gearing of this model and basically it’s going to sit.
