Heat retention ok. Leakage: does not leak at all (very good seal even after whole night under the comfort/blanket). Design classic and cute. Smell: no smell at all. Flexibility good can use for hand, arm, ankles, back, waist, belly, pretty much anywhere. It is heart evenly and slow even the water is boiled and super hot (which is good and safety for skin-touched use). Value for money reasonable.

Got this for cramping and omg it is amazing. The water will stay hot for at least 2.5 hours. The cover is so soft and so cute. Does not leak. My kids have dropped it multiple times and the cap did not budge! It does have a bit of a strong plastic smell but goes away after about 2 uses.

This is such a cute hot water bottle. I love thee bear cover, though I don't use it often. I like the bottle to be a hot as possible and I like the feeling of the actual bag on my skin, but for kids and people more sensitive to heat, the cover would be great. I don't remember the item having any smell to it straight out the packaging. The bottle itself is thick and durable and doesn't leak. I really like it!
