Clarity of sound excellent. - My history with hearing aids began 30 years ago with $5,000 tiny in-ear custom molded and fit by an audiologist hearing aids. They were fabulous until I destroyed one in my garbage disposal by accident (don’t ask). Then I decided to try the less expensive $250 over the ear clunky hearing amplifiers and, while I had to let my hair grow a bit to hide them, they worked almost as well as the expensive ones. They used the replaceable #13 batteries and I liked that much better than the rechargeable devices because I always had extra batteries with me. If a rechargeable ran out of power, I was in a fix. In today’s world, it is nearly impossible to find aids with replaceable batteries so I decided to try the rechargeable. Note that I paid $69 for this order and I received 2 LEFT ear hearing amplifiers. That was fine for me because I am completely deaf in my right ear so now I have a back up. I noticed that the price on the pink ones I ordered was increased immediately after I placed my order. I’ve only worn these for 2 days so I will return to edit my review after I’ve worn them longer. I will mention that the tubing is very short which is perfect for me because I usually need to trim the tubing but for a wearer that needs a longer tubing, you may have to buy that separately. I love the pink color so I can tell which ones are my newest since all my others are the basic flesh color. I am not crazy about the direct charging plugged into the bottom of the aids in fear of cracking the aid when inserting it. I prefer to have a case that charges the aids. I really cannot tell a huge difference in the Mode levels except the first and the last which are distinctly different and useful in a noisy restaurant or crowd. Is it worth the money? Yes. Are there better ones available? Sure. But, for the price, these are adequate and help tremendously. Follow up: I’ve been wearing these for 10 days now and I am blown away with the amount of amplification and clarity of sound. They are comfortable and I love that they have an on/off switch to preserve the battery. I have increased my review from 4 stars to 5⭐️ stars! Well deserved.
