I'm a whittler, I have a lot of carving knives, and they're all carbon blades. This stuff works great on keeping my knives rust-free, and it's great for my bicycle also! It's easy to use, and you can turn the cap to the left to close it. Doesn't have a weird smell, and overall takes care of my metals. Hooray buy it!

Unreal. Not only does this penetrate and help break things loose but makes it feel like new. Especially useful on the rustiest of cable ratchets.

Works mostly as expected, spray on and scrub off light surface rust, and this leaves a little bit of a protective coating. I've been using it also to lubricate door hinges and other things in my house as I don't like blasting WD-40 inside. Don't expect this to totally revitalize heavily rusted stuff but for a little bit of surface rust on tools this does the trick.

Worked like a charm! I’m refinishing a metal wagon that rusted after being accidentally left out in the elements, and this product performed really well. It’s super easy to use and effective. My only gripe is the sprayer—it tends to shoot off in an odd direction—but the formula itself is excellent. I’ll definitely be buying it again for future projects. I tried scrubbing with a metal brush but it didn’t work as well as this product.

The best degreaser on clothes I have ever used. So far I haven’t found anything it won’t get out! Cooking a lot I do get some grease on my clothes. One grandson is a chef and gets grease splatters. This Gear Hugger works on all of it.

Sticky and gummy even when you wipe off leaves a residue that dries to it clogging stickiness. That's not great for any moving parts in my experience. Unfortunately, I bought quite a few of these when they were on sale at one point. As an alternative, I may switch to be using Kurobara Camellia Oil which I've been using for years on my carbon chest knives. It definitely doesn't seem to have the same issues of gumming up and getting sticky and granted it doesn't dry even though after a year and a half gear hugger has only dried to a gummy sticky mess.
