Sound Design by David Sonnenschien: This written work is in so many different way's such a help to either experienced or up and coming Creative Sound designers with handy tips and shortcuts, It is easy to follow and gives a great insight into the though processes involved in making sound productions and how the simplest of things can be made into some weird and and wonderful sounds. As I am studying Creative Sound Production at University it was already on my must read\purchase book list on the subject matter, a decision that I am glad I made to purchase the book as it has helped me in so many ways to understand the subject and how to use basic everyday items in my creative sound processes and projects. It Is a must but book, well written and informative, I would recommend in deed I have recommended the book to the university faculty to be added to the departments or universities library for future use by other likeminded students. This book underpinned my thesis into sound design. David Sonnenschien writes very clearly and with great enthusiasm. Moreover, he encourgaes the reader to contact him, which in my case provided useful primary research. Ultimately, what i gleaned from this book lead to me lecturing at university and has helped distinguish me now i work within the Film and TV industry. Buy it and potentially bore your friends rigid with wonderfull facts. Excellent.

Interesting read so far (haven't read the whole thing yet), love the printing and shipping. The author at times is really relatable and informative however at other times a bit "new agey".

Wow what a really informative book. Got me through first year at Uni covering sound on film and I still apply learnings from this book today!

Excellent book well written and great flow

A great easy to use reference book! the only book better than this on the similar subject is 'The sound effects bible' but this is a couple of quid cheaper, and well worth the money!

I received this book earlier than expected. I was apprehensive of the book being a photocopy or an original. I received the original book, top quality. Amazon delivery has been amazing to say the least. Im still reading the book. Im taking my time to soak up everything thats there in it. But its so full of ideas that it would definitely take me long time to finish this book. I was expecting some beating around the bush by the author. But NO! He comes straight to the point and talks about sound design and how to get started. There's a lot of insight about how sound can be designed for a film. Im happy I bought this book. Its apt for all who intend to get into sound design for films. The ultimate hand book for sound design.
