Pretty easy assembly, only had trouble with the first couple boards. But other than that, the measurements were exact and it serves its purpose.

Look. I usually do try to rely on comments before I order something off Amazon, and this time, I have to say: the deepest betrayal has occurred. BETRAYAL I SAY. Peeps, how could you do this to me? Y’all. My heavens. Holy wow! This thing is stupendously cheap. I am in awe of the levels of cheapdom reached here. I mean, DANG. Hang on to your pants here: it came in a terrible package that protected it not at all, the metal grooves for the back panel were terrifically warped probably during shipping (I hope during shipping!), the black paint was peeling off the metal as I unpacked it, nearly every single paper pressed (I mean MAYBE it’s wood shelves, but wow they fritter away like paper so I have doubts, the husband thinks pressed wood, I think… imagine a cringey face here, that’ll do) corner of the shelves were damaged and eaten away, the edges of the shelves are NOT finished as shown in the picture in fact they are just an amazingly bland shade of greige, the drawer tray is warped and doesn’t rest even, just. Gonna take a deep breath here. WOW. SO MUCH WOW. I am horrified and delighted at how terrible this organizer is, I gotta admit. I’m gonna keep it and call it George. It’s gonna be my “buy me a drink” story forever more, because people are gonna feel so dang sorry for this organizer when I tell them about it, lol! Because heck yeah, dear readers! I put it together just to see if it was actually doable! :D And honestly yes, it is, with a bit of creativity and elbow grease (and if you have good craft pliers, and don’t mind whipping out your trusty hand vacuum to pick up the pieces of shaved off paper from the “shelves” after the deed is done). Now, I used the pliers to try and fix the back grooves for actual space to slide the back panel in (it ain’t ever coming out), and that’s where the vacuum had to come in because whew, paper shavings all over, lol! The cats loved that part, they went absolutely bonkers for the floating paper (wood? Eh, who knows!), but I did NOT let them eat a single bit. Um, I did not want to take that risk. Eek. The shelves, if very carefully lined up and inserted, didn’t get too much damage beyond the already shaggy corners, but I won’t be pulling these in and out as the design implies you can do anyway – they’ll shave off too fast to be able to survive that treatment for long. I guess you can black pen or paint the edges to get the black edge on the pictures of the product since the shelves are paper, so hey, cheers, there’s that! The silver lining! The mini screwdriver that comes with this set, while cheap, is actually sturdy and with a short haft and handle so – really useful for other household things, it turns out. I’m definitely pleased, totally keeping that! I am calling it Bestie. (Never underestimate a screwdriver you can use in tight spaces.) Don’t expect them to hold much weight either, they are bendy as heck. Maybe one day I shall return, and update y’all on how many free drinks George has earned me! <3
