Great Value, Features and Quality
I've looked at lots of different dashcams, many big names have variable reviews. The GKU units seem to have good feedback so I gave it a go. Initial impressions - really good. Very nicely packaged, good instructions and thoughtful inclusions (trim tool). Very easy to setup and it just works. I haven't had to use it but there appears to be lots of UK support and almost a bit of a GKU community to call upon. I didn't want an in car screen so went for this base unit. It came with a rear camera which I wasn't going to use but I have and it's very discreet and easy to install. I also bought the hardwire kit for parking mode capability. I did need to trim the plastic fuse holder slightly to fit in the sunken fuse holders in my car. Once done, works a treat. The APP is easy to use, connects up to the unit easily and allows control over all the functions. Importantly, picture quality is very good and the quick function button to save recordings is simple to use so should I need to call upon the camera for its intended purpose it should be fine. Overall, highly recommended and does everything I would want of a dashcam whilst being easy to install, use and discreet.

Perfect!
Bought two of these, one for each car. We have a Nissan Qashai and a Toyota Yaris Cross. It was super easy to install in both cars. I like the electrostatic film, which stops the adhesive leaving marks on your screens if you ever need to move/remove the dash cams. The clips are handy but I didnt need them in the end as I was able to tuck all the wires behind the panels in the car. The little tool which is supplied is a massive help with this. The app seems decent. You just download, connect to the dash cam WiFi and you are good to go. I plan to check the SD card (which was helpfully supplied) after our first journey in each car to make sure it is working as expected and will update my review if there are any issues. The video is good quality and should record 4-6 hours before overwriting older footage. It also has crash detection where it will lock a video and save it indefinitely (protected from overwriting) when the dash cam thinks there may have been an incident/impact. I can't fault them: everything you need, easy to install both physically and on the app, good quality. Thank you!

Very good camera, Not so great app
The camera itself is great, Was simple to settup. Good price. Nice and discreet in my car. Only thing that lets it down is the app. It requires you to connect via wifi which is weird, why not just bluetooth ? And the playback is god awful . I thought the camera was broken when I tried to play a recording back from the cameras own storage on my phone. BUT! Once I downloaded the file from the camera. The picture was clear and great! So overall if you just want a good camera that isnt going to rip you off financially then this is it. Just the app is a bit crap and the wifi connected playback is also crap.

A good dash cam at a good price
I was really impressed with this dash cam. Quality build and easy to fit so long as you are patient and read the instructions and watch the very helpful videos. I hardly notice the position of the two cameras and they are not a distraction when driving. Recordings are good and clear. Having only just installed it the memory capacity seems more than enough. One small gripe (but it is probably me not adjusting the settings) - when driving I occcasionally get a voice saying “Wi-Fi connected” or Wi-Fi disconnected. But again it is not a major distraction. Their customer care is wonderful and they are really helpful.

Fantastic Dashcam with Excellent Features and Quality
I recently purchased the GKU 4K Dashcam and couldn’t be more impressed. This dashcam offers outstanding value with both front and rear cameras, delivering clear, high-resolution footage in 4K for the front and full HD for the rear. The video quality is excellent both during the day and at night thanks to its effective night vision feature, which adds a layer of security, especially in low-light conditions. One of my favourite features is the parking mode, which can be activated when paired with a hardwiring kit. It gives me peace of mind knowing my vehicle is being monitored even when I’m not around. The included app is user-friendly and makes it easy to view live or recorded footage on the go. There are also plenty of settings to customize the dashcam to any preferences. All of this can be accessed by taking the included SD card out too. The GKU 4K Dashcam also comes with extras like electrostatic stickers, a trim removal tool for easy and clean installation, and an overall sturdy, high-quality build. It’s clear that GKU has paid attention to both functionality and user experience. I had a stickers which came slightly damaged, which was immediately replaced by the support team after I contacted them. If you're looking for a reliable, feature-rich dashcam setup at a good price, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommended! Definitely recommend the hardwire kit too as it results in a very neat install if you take the time.

Great camera for a great price
This is a really impressive camera. I was initially worried about getting a dashcam mainly because I assumed the installation would be complicated. I was wrong. It was easier than I thought. The whole package was very neat and the instructions were clear. I didn’t want the hassle of hardwiring into the car and preferred to use the cigarette lighter instead, and threading the cables along the top of the car. That’s how I installed it and it works really well. The camera itself is very well made, and everything you need is included in the package. In some reviews it was mentioned the app was not that great but I have not had any issues. The app gives full access to the camera memory card, and you can view the clips, or the events, and download the ones you want to the phone. It connects through the camera’s WiFi, and it does that about a minute after the car turns on. I was also able to take out the memory card and connect it to my pc, by using my own card adapter. The daytime footage is very clear, while the nighttime is less so, especially if it’s raining. I don’t drive at night very much so it’s not a big deal for me. I am really happy with the camera and I feel more confident on the road with it installed.

No bad but not great
A decent enough camera but wireless…I think not. The wireless feature has a mind of its own, sometimes 30 mins, sometimes 5. Forget the sales pitch of charge once a month. Cable is attached to the charge charger constantly when in use, slightly annoying but you get used to it.

Good video in daylight/clear conditions. Lack of articulation and access to mem card is problematic.
Front and rear cams used daily in the 4 months since October 2025. The installation is straightforward and both cams worked immediately once powered on. The app is also straightforward and connects without issue. The video playback works well on windows media player. But jerky on VLC. I haven't tried it on a Mac. In daylight and on a dry day with no rain and with clean glass this front and rear dash cam duo produces clear video. At night, bright headlights and tail lights cause glare and reflections utterly wrecking the footage. Heavy rain or a dirty windshield causes similar distorting reflections. The camera has no horizontal articulation, and if it is stuck on a slightly right facing or left facing curve of the glass the view is biased accordingly and can not be adjusted. There is no separate mount. Using a sticky pad, the cam is stuck directly to glass or to an electrostatic film which is stuck on glass. Which means, either way, once stuck on the cam can not be easily removed or re-positioned. This in turn obstructs the removal/replacement of the memory card which becomes difficult to access if the cam is installed in a tight spot. If neither the cam or the memory card can easily be removed it is not possible to review captured video footage unless downloaded via the app. Which can be fiddly and a nuisance
