Good product grip mag is good, easy to shoot

I’ve been using the ULANZI MA35 tripod mount for a few months and overall, I’m impressed. The sturdy anti‑slip grip feels very secure, and the Bluetooth remote connects instantly with no hassle. The little mirror for selfie framing is a clever addition and really helps when shooting. However, I did notice a few downsides. The magnet could have been stronger — it doesn’t always feel as secure with heavier phones. It’s also a bit tricky to mount wider phones like my iPhone 12 Pro Max with a cover, so some adjusting is needed. Additionally, the remote seems to need frequent charging, which can be inconvenient during longer shoots. Overall, it’s a very practical and well‑designed accessory, especially for casual video shooting or travel. Just a bit more strength in the magnet would have made it a perfect 5★

It's a very bad product, like a toy. Avoid buying such things.

The hand grip is good. Mag is strong if you have a metal ring on your case. Just the iPhone, the mag is less strong. A firm jerk will release the phone. The small built in remote is a great idea. But it works for too short a time. It works for about 1-2 hours after charge. The charge doesn’t hold even if you’re not using it. So it’s practically useless. Buy this for the grip only. The remote is unusable.

I’ve been eyeing magnetic grips with shutter releases for my iPhone 16 Pro Max for a while since I haven’t been able to master the art of holding the phone at a precarious angle and taking a photo without dropping it. I’ve been eyeing other brands and decided that I’d try Ulanzi again, which has made some tripods/phone mounts that I rather like and have worked well. Setup was virtually a non-issue. Pairing with my phone took less than a minute, and I could slap my phone on and be ready to take photos. Keep in mind that this is just a shutter releases and does not zoom, which is fine. Nor does it change modes between video and photo. Remote is detachable and is charged via USB-C and automatically powers off. Very nice. It feels very nice nice in my hand, like I’m holding my Canon cameras. Weight wasn’t an issue coming from DSLR’s with heavy lenses, so this felt fine. Good build quality, but I would have really enjoyed a wrist strap attachment on this. For $20, this is a great product and I could have easily spent 4x this (or 20x this price for Leica’s) and it’s a great value and I have given some away as gifts already.

Really great balance of price & features. Has both a strong MagSafe magnet & also clamp so can be used universally. Also comes with a stick on magnet ring if your case doesn’t have one. Light weight but not flimsy & comfortable to hold both horizontally or vertically. Comes with a hotshoe mount cover & tripod thread in base of grip & small selfie 🤳 mirror. The benefit of this design & why I bought it is that the grip extends beyond the phone. So unlike other phone grips, your palm is not resting on the screen. A wise design addition. Super easy to pair on first go. Easy operation. Hold shutter for 3 seconds to turn on & pair. Hold for 5 to turn off. So no accidental activation which is good. Set your phones volume up button to burst mode & the Sutter will do the same if you hold it. Some things to note: you need to use a very low power charger to charge other wise it won’t charge (eg if you use like a 30w laptop charger it won’t work). Also remote is held in place with magnets, which makes it easy to remove when you need, but also easy to remove when you don’t, so take care of slipping it into or out of a pocket or bag. Delivery was a little delayed
