This is a good filter for my camera. It was easy to put on and seems durable. Good value for the price I paid. Would recommend for those taking eclipse shots or sunspot shots.

Worked good for taking pictures of the Sun

The image and video were taken using my cellphone. (Considering this, I think the results were decent) I'm using a Vivitar 2.2x telephoto lens and this ND filter. I bought a 52mm thread clip to attach to my phone. The picture is 20x zoom and the video is 10x zoom. This is the reason why the picture and video is blurry. The picture and video was clear if I didn't zoom in, but I wanted the large view. ( In retrospect, I think I should not have used the zoom on my phone ) I think this filter serves it's purpose well and I am happy with my purchase.

one who is not familiar with photography wouldn't understand what exactly 20 stops of light actually means. With that said I'm waiting for the next solar eclipse in the states Georgia to be exact. I decided to take a picture of the sun just to see and I'll tell you what everything was black except a dot where the sun was.

I got both the ND100000 (16.6 stop) and ND1000000 (20 stop) for the Apr 8 2024 eclipse. They both worked well. I used the 20 stop during full sun at ISO100 f8 exposed between 1/4 to 1 second. The 16.6 stop max'd out at 1/1000 sec during full sun, but worked great shooting thru thin clouds with about a 1 second exposure. These are a good inexpensive choice for solar photography. Sun spot will show but you need an hydrogen alpha (Ha) filter for solar flares. CAUTION As the amount of UV blocking is not known, don't use the optical viewfinder, instead use the electronic live-view screen to protect your eyes!

The perfect item for getting quickly in focus and in position to follow the Full Eclipse as it unfolds... As far as I can tell the optical quality is excellent... compared to what I got thru an 8" small telescope this filter on my Nikon 300-mm telephoto was nearly "as good" when focused right... AMAZING!!! thanks for this...

I bought this when the delivery date wasn’t exactly promised to be before the 2024 solar eclipse. It was an investment that worked out for me thankfully because clouds spared me where I was based. That said, I think this filter worked out perfect, and better than the foil type of a filter (faster filter which is cardboard based) I had purchased as a backup in case this doesn’t work well. The photos I have attached were shot with this filter and I’ll let it speak for its quality. There’s a bit of distortion I saw in some pics but that I guess is bound to happen when shooting the sun. The case that the filter has is quite nice and I’ll probably expire getting a few more filters (polarizers / GND filters) of this brand soon)

Perfect for solar photography

It's really hard to work out where to point your camera with this in place,.. thank heaven for digitals so I could check on the back what was in shot,.. But it works really really well. Fit perfectly and allowed me to get photos of the partial eclipse. Oh and arrived nice and quickly so it was here in advance. Not sure how good over all it is as I can't compare it to more expensive options, but I wanted something that would allow me to photograph the sun without mullering my camera sensor, and it's all still working perfectly after so I'd say it did it's job. Thanks.

Eclipse picture were super nice! And also very affordable price! Will buy more from this brand in the future!
