Awesome Beginner Machine
This is my first espresso machine, I did quite a lot of research beforehand and landed on this one due to affordability and reviews mentioning the quality of espresso you can pull from this thing. This machine is super easy to use, very easy to clean, a great size and I’m pretty happy with the quality of espresso and steam! I have had it for about a month and have been dialing it in. Some days are hit and miss, but mostly due to my inconsistent grind size. I’ve had to exercise patience being an instant gratification person, but it’s been worth it and I’ve enjoyed getting to know this machine! I’ll say while it depends on the beans you use, the double shot filter probably is optimal at 16-18 grams vs. the 15 grams on the instruction. I don’t feel like the coffee is very strong with 15 grams only. The steam wand is easy to use, a good length, and the dial allows for good control! My only complaint, the little metal pucks that you put inside the portafilter are very tough to get out to clean, I’m always bending my nails trying to pull them out. I may swap out my portafilter altogether for a higher quality one. I would overall highly recommend this machine to anyone looking to get into making espresso at home and doesn’t want to spend a million on a higher quality machine. I think you get a lot of value with this machine for what you pay compared to the market.

Burning Plastic!
I wish you could see it better in the video, but I have had this machine for about 14 months and have loved it until today. After I made my espresso, I could very clearly smell burning plastic more than the smell of my espresso. I immediately unplugged it, and this photo was taken about 5 mins after and it was still burning/smoking. I wish I thought to get a better video earlier on, but I won’t be plugging it in again to get better proof so there’s that. Needless to say, 14 months isn’t a short amount of time but still far too early for an espresso machine to malfunction and potentially cause a house fire. I wouldn’t risk or recommend this machine.

Wow A Great Find
This was an rather spur of the moment purchase. After searching for many years for the right home espresso machine, this was recommended by Amazon after researching another machine we had seen on TV with rather lackluster reviews. I went to the suggested item and there were not thousands or reviews those that were, were excellent. I read several in addition to the features of the machine and we are so happy we did. We had lots of experience to fall back on with commercial units but limited exposure to home models. Breville and Mr Coffee Barista along with several stove top models were prior purchases. The Neretva was a. "Excellent" purchase. Top qualities are pressure output, superb cup of espresso, creamiest of espressos, speed of machine output, sturdy, compact, great looking...enough? Did I mention a great price? The only thing we can not review yet is the ultimate life of machine. We would highly recommend.

Great purchase
Bought for my in-laws, who drink lots of lattes, when they came to stay with us for a month. I wanted to provide a little taste of home for them. This machine did well, although it did not reach the ideal 7-9 bars of pressure as advertised. It generally reached 4-5 bars according to the gauge. They made 4-6 double shot lattes every day with fresh ground beans. The crema was thick, rich, and beautiful. They loved it! Easy to use, compact, sleek, no leakage. A lot less expensive than buying Starbucks that often, and got a better coffee and experience out of it. For those who said it leaked- perhaps they didn’t take off the silicon plug it came packaged in!

Steamer broke in 6 months
Milk steamer broke After 5 months. I was so happy when I got this. I have been making my own excellent espressos and sometimes capuccinos since I purchased it in August '24. Just yesterday (Jan '25), however, I tried to use the milk steamer and it simply would't work. I followed the directions as usual, but instead of turning on, it made an intermittent clunking sound and did not operate. I know I bought it more than a month ago, but I expected it to work at least a year without issues. I went onto Amazon's Customer help, which directed to contact the company's "Customer Support center" on the Neretva website. There is no such link on the website, and the "Contact" and "About" choices lead to "Page not found" messages. Another drawback it has is that the milk steamer wand is only about an inch or 2 off the base/counter level, which makes putting your coffee steamer carafe under it almost impossible, especially if you actually have milk in it! I hope the espresso function will continue for a while.

I wanted to believe the positive reviews...... initially not to be, but they made it right.
I considered the positive & negative reviews on this machine and figured that if I received a good one, it would meet my needs. Well.... I got a dud. Never achieved a hot cup of espresso ( 131°) and the frother only spit out the same temp water, no steam. The pressure gauge never indicated above 5.5 bar, so another fail there. I contacted Customer Service and was instructed to " wait for awhile" to get the frother up to temperature to steam milk. After timing the process for over 5 minutes, I gave up and returned the machine. I received a subsequent email requesting I record temperatures and gauge indications with a detailed video not to exceed 30mb, but I'd already spent too much time troubleshooting a device that was clearly defective from the get go and it was already on its way back. The response from Customer Service was prompt and polite, but ineffective as they should have immediately replaced the unit. Life's too short and I want my espresso NOW! 😉 I'm trying a CasaBrews 20 Bar machine next. Updating this review to 5 stars. After a few more interactions with Customer Service I received a replacement machine and it worked first time out of the box. I'm satisfied with the replacement thus far, but still think Quality Control needs improvement.

Good little machine for the money.
11/4/2024. I’ve been using this compact little machine for about three weeks and so far it makes a pretty good shot of espresso. The extraction pump does well up to about eight bar. After that the pump is not strong enough to force water through the coffee grounds. It creates a nice crema and flavorful espresso. You will need to have a cup that is less than 2.5 inches tall to fit under the Porta filter. I remove the drip grate and use a 3.5” glass coffee cup set down in the drip tray to catch the espresso from both spouts. Otherwise you will need two shot glasses which I can’t imagine ever using. I use a separate frothing machine to froth oat milk for lattes. I don’t use the steam wand feature on the machine because it would water down the Oatmilk making it difficult to froth. I am sure the steam wand would work fine for whole milk or 2% milk. For the money this is a nice looking and functional compact espresso maker. So far I am enjoying an Oatmilk latte every morning! Hopefully this machine will last for a long time. Stay tuned! Ps preheat the Porta filter and catch vessel for a warmer latte.

Don’t buy
Gave up after a bit over a year. I was making my espresso as usual and smoke started to come out of everywhere. I disconnected it right away and the smoke continued to come out of everywhere and it smelled like something was burning. Unfortunately the warranty is only good for a year but buyer beware this machine isn’t the best quality. I managed to open the top and sure enough more smoke and some of the plastic on the fuses were burning.
