No aftertaste or off flavor. This is amazing stuff. I’ve tried many salt subs and this is the only one that tastes as strong as and exactly like sea salt. Not able to tell the difference. When my doctor placed me on a low sodium diet I didn't think I would be able to adhere to it, until I found Salicornia. Half the sodium and actually taste like salt, it doesn't get any better that that!

I had to slow down on my salt intake bc of my blood pressure. I am a salt freak so this was difficult for me. I ordered Saltwise, it’s pretty darn good. I would order it again but it’s pretty expensive.

I use this regularly now. I eat way too much salt. Salicornia is my go-to as an after seasoning. I still bake, grill and roast with various salts. My order arrived with an unexpected tote, a sample of green salicornia and recipes. A nice surprise.

I have tried a lot of salt substitutes and have always found it hard to stick to them because of the weird after taste. But SaltWise was a pleasant surprise!! It actually tastes just like my regular table salt and my family could not even tell that I switched to plant based salt substitute. :) I bought this out of curiosity and it sure has been a great decision. It looks, smells, tastes very normal and yes- I am sticking to this one for sure. Highly recommend because of the good quality, low sodium content and perfect taste. Even though the packet works great, you may want to transfer it into a bottle for ease of daily use.

Good for me

I love this….on a lower salt diet and this is definitely lower in sodium than regular table salt 🧂. It is very fine in texture, has a fresh taste. I will order more when I get low on it. I use it in every area of cooking that requires salt…. I use finger pinching to distribute the salt as the texture is so fine.

When I ordered I was only expecting to receive 2 pouches of low sodium alternative to salt. I was pleasantly surprised to open the package and find that, along with a really well made large canvas shopping bag, a good-sized sample pack of the green version of this salt (which is less processed), recipe cards and an information pack telling me all about this brand. When tasting the green salt first, compared to my usual sea salt flakes, I found the flavour was nothing like real salt. It has a grassy, earthy taste and dry powdery texture that I wasn’t keen on for sprinkling on top of meals. However, this flavour is not detected when replacing salt during cooking. Moving on to the white salt alternative, compared to regular table salt, I think anyone would be really hard-pressed to notice any difference at all in taste and texture. The texture is much the same as table salt, but is finer than sea salt flakes or crystals. It’s definitely good enough to use both during cooking and sprinkled directly on top of meals. This is a really useful product for anyone who loves the taste of salt, but may be trying to reduce their intake of sodium.
