You'll want to write a review for mayonnaise
How do you reach the point of writing a review for mayonnaise? Well, you start by buying the best darn mayo you've ever tasted, and then use it in so many things that you decide to buy it in bulk next time. I'm a decent amateur cook who watches and reads the pros as much as the next guy. I've been a die-hard Hellman's/Best Food buyer pretty much forever, and felt secure in it when I read an article (don't judge me!) a few years back that said most pro chefs think that all mass-produced mayos taste the same, except Hellman's. But last year a few chefs started talking about Duke's, and my wife and I decided to go online and buy a jar to try out. This stuff is amazing. It's a bit thicker than most mayos, and the yellow tint speaks to more egg yolks going into it. It has a nice lemony zing that will make you forget all about salad dressing mayo alternative products that I won't dignify by naming here. And it just goes so well with dang near everything. Sandwiches, salads, homemade tartar sauce, you name it! Buy this stuff! Eat it! You won't regret it.

Dukes is the Best but I need squeeze bottles , not big jars. I got both!
I live in a small room in an Assisted living and those 4 boxes of Pita Crackers with the 2 big mayonaise bottles still in them They are two awkward for me and I can't get my hand in jar when some is gone. Anything large and bulky I can't hold in my hands. I can not keep getting two orders of everything. I do not understand but it happens with every order now. I am going to have a problem fixing the box but I have to return it for the squeeze bottles, but I can't keep a box with 12 squeeze box in it. I ordered the squeeze bottles, They came and the next week came 2 of the large bottles. My refrigerator will not hold the big jars after they are opened but I need to get them out of my way and the 4 boxes of Pita crackers so I will get the box of four Pitas every month instead and I can at least get them in my cabinet and lay them down after they are opened. It is still in the box and all these boxes I didn"t order is driving me nuts. I am worried about this extra order of my Almond milk. It seems as if this extra one that hasn't been opened because I do not have a pantry and it is still in the box unopened. Someone managed to get the 12 in the cabinet and I have to put one at a time in the refrigerator at a time and it takes about 3 days to complete one. I hope this can get straightened out because I do not know what I will do if it isn;t. It will take me forever to use all those big bottles of Woolite. I had to give one away but I just have used the small bottles for certain things. We are lucky to have someone to do our laundry but I have to wash a few things by hand and I just let it soak. I have complained only about the extra orders I get including extras. y last fresh order came and wasn't wrapped the nice way they are usually wrapped and they were all very warm when I got them. I hope and pray all these mistakes will not hit me at the same time again. I don't know what I did to deserve this avalanche.

A mayo by any other name is just a mayo…HOWEVER
This stuff is in a league of its own. Hellmans is (was) probably the best tasting mayonnaise out there, then came Dukes! The difference between a best foods or other standard brand mayonnaise and Dukes is night and day. This stuff has a super creamy texture and the flavor is indescribable. I copied the following paragraph from “the kitchen chalkboard” website: “So what makes Duke’s so great? …Mayonnaise is a pretty simple recipe with only a few ingredients. Both Dukes and Hellmans contain Soybean oil, eggs, and salt. Duke’s mayonnaise contains a combination of distilled and cider vinegar, while Hellman’s only contains distilled vinegar which makes Duke’s tangier. Hellman’s also contains lemon juice concentrate and sugar. Duke’s is the only mass-produced mayonnaise that does NOT include sugar. The company is quite proud of this fact. Duke’s mayonnaise does NOT taste like Hellman’s! It’s a bit tangier (in a good way), smoother, and creamier. The extra flavor likely comes from the combination of apple cider and distilled vinegar.” I originally bought because a recipe for an aioli demanded Dukes only so I bought a small jar. That was it! Now I’m hooked. Excellent on sandwiches and salads, of course, but absolutely necessary for burgers and for fries (ditch the ketchup). And, surprise, a fantastic substitute for Mexican crema on tacos.

Absolutely love this Mayo...
Well, I read reviews on it and was a little skeptical in buying it. I decided to take the chance and I was scared to open it. I put a jar in the fridge overnight to let it get cold first. When I opened it, I took a butterknife to stir it well before adding it to my sandwiches. This is one of the best mayo's I have ever tasted. IMO, quality maid and without all the preservatives that you find in store bought mayonnaise. Some of the reviews I read on here made me question the product. So I took the chance and ordered it, and I am quite satisfied with this product, and a must have for the holidays. -Alyssa

Super flavor without added crud
Wow, Duke's is yummy! We used to be a Hellmann's family, but over the past 3 years, noticed an off-flavor (like the oil they use was rancid or just turning rancid). We began making it ourselves with an immersion blender using the oils/vinegars we like. No sugar, carageenin, thickeners, preservatives, etc... We still prefer homemade mayonnaise, yet I bought Duke's because so many people (southern relatives) told us to try it, and I was making gallons of potato salad and coleslaw for an upcoming BBQ. While it's difficult to find in northern New England, I paid more to buy on Amazon. So glad we did! It tastes like the Hellmann's used to taste when I was a kid in the 70's and my cousin and I would make mayonnaise sandwiches, haha! (don't judge, but they were made with Wonderbread- gasp!) Looking at the Hellmann's label in the store, I saw that there were a number of ingredients that had NOT been there 5 years ago. My son has an old Hellman's plastic jar full of coins, and we checked that label. We've had Kewpie, too, but Blue Plate will be the next we try. Right now, it's homemade or Duke's!
