Fabric Replacement Ear Pads for Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Headphones, Sony Xm4 Headphones Earpads with Smooth Fabric & Memory Foam, Breathable Cushion Replacements

These are a great replacement for the original ones. Really comfortable for all day wear. I have my headphones on all day working in a warehouse and these are great. They look good and the sound quality seems the same. They are easy to fit and hopefully will last.

These are a great replacement pair of ear cushions for the WH-XM4's, and while not quite having the same quality as the originals, I have found they are a fix for the WH-XM4's biggest problem, moisture.I am currently wearing the XM4's while sleeping, and with the original earpads every morning, I would remove the earcups to find the inside of the headphones filled with condensation droplets. In a pair of headphones with absolutely no water resistance and known issues with moisture getting into the mic and causing problems, this was a concern. These, however, breathe a lot better than the leather ear cushions, allowing me to use them for the 7-8 hours of sleeping while seeing what varies from absolutely none to very little condensation. They are also lovely, plush, and a little thicker than the original cushions, making them somewhat more comfortable for my sleeping use case. The fact they are thicker also makes the frankly very shallow earcups of the XM4 a little deeper as well, leading to more comfort and, to my ear, at least a very slightly better sound.They aren't without their negatives, though, but they are fairly minor. The ANC, or at least the passive noise-canceling, isn't quite as good as the original leather, which is to be expected from a more breathable material, but it's not enough, at least for me, to make any real-world difference in actual use. The other is that I found they slip and move around more on my head compared to the originals. The final is that the right cushion seems ever so slightly too large for the actual earcup, requiring a little extra squeezing than the other to get it clipped in properly, but once in, you would never know this.Overall, great replacements or even just another option for your XM4's, and in honesty, I feel like I'll swap between these and the originals depending on my current use case.

These replacement WH-1000XM4 ear pads do not feel like they are made to a good quality. The material feels more like cotton rather than suede or velvet.The frame isn't as stiff as the original, and the back has a gap because it uses the same backing for both ear cups. This gap it's for the sensor that is only on the left ear cup.Sound isolation is noticeably worst with these ear pads installed, but they are comfortable. They didn't get as hot, but the lower sound quality isn't a worthy trade in my opinion.A tool is supplied for use in removing the ear pads, but no instructions are provided. It also comes with replacement foam inserts, but these should only be replaced if damaged as it can effect the sound (I didn't replace them).

I am very happy with my Sony WH-1000XM4 Headphones but I can see that the plasticky earpad covering is starting to show its age (see the wrinkled surface in the attached photos) and will need replacing soon. I received these replacement earpads for review and I have to say I am very impressed and looking forward to using them as a permanent replacement. These earpads from Wzsipod are very similar in dimension to the Sony originals which is what I prefer (you can get deeper versions) but the material covering the foam cushions has been replaced by a soft fabric which I have to say feels like an upgrade on the slightly sticky originals, especially in hot environments if your ears are prone to sweating.A plastic "spudger" tool is provided to make it very easy to do the replacement in a minute or two (search for online videos if you are unsure, it really is not difficult, there are no screws or adhesive holding the earpads in place, you just need to pry up a few plastic studs around the edges), and you can in fact try out the new earpads for a while and easily swap back too.I can't talk much about longevity until I have worn these new earpads for a few months, but initial impressions are very good and quality seems high, so I have good confidence these will last well.

As someone who is a bit of a warm boy, I find the XM4s to be a bit too insulating and my ears get very warm, as a result the leather on the stock ear pads get a bit uncomfortable.As these are made from a fabric rather than the leather, they're a lot more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time, and in the warmer weather
