Having bought this product before, I would recommend it, as it has greatly improved the health of one of our guinea pigs who has a dental problem and can't presently eat food as it normally would, having to be fed this product by syringe or in a bowl. My most recent order for it, placed in plenty of time before running out, was apparently 'lost' - the first Amazon order to be so. Unfortunate, when it just happened to be a Critical Care product and ordered on Prime. Refunded though (thanks) and had to be bought elsewhere. Tricky few days as a consequence.

Good value and at 0.5 kg ideal for a poorly guinea pig. This stuff really works for piggies struggle to eat. They love it. Just add water for a semi solid eat, or more water for a syringe feed.

Amazing stuff, vital for ill rabbits!

Amazing product... I brought this for my guinea pig who lost his partner and he stopped eating nuggets and only was eating peppers... after buying this product I fed him this for a week then slowly mixed it in with his nuggets now he’s fully back on nuggets and I still give him this every now and then... I highly recommend this product it’s a life saver and my guinea pig is now back to a healthy weight. It was also super quick to arrive that’s why I give this product a 5/5

The product is good however the price is too expensive.

This is a life saver for small herbivores. Just make sure you mix it into a paste and insert it into the top of the syringe. The syringe needs to be a proper feeding one for large rats, guinea pigs and rabbits, such as the 'recovery feeding syringe'. Guinea pigs need to be fed 120ml a day minimum, adjust the amount for the size of other animals. When feeding a guinea pig, the syringe head needs to go in at an angle so the food goes into the cheek, never put it straight down the mouth. The syringe head should go in about 2cms, any less and little piggy may spit it out. They will eat 1ml-ml per mouthful. Give them 15ml minimum per feed, but they can fit 30ml in the stomach.

Won’t let me return. Have used for years and normally smells lovely and of aniseed. This batch smells awful and I’m concerned it’s contaminated or off. Anxious to speak to seller

Wir benutzen es für unsere Meerschweinchen wenn mal eines krank ist und nicht so Fressen kann. Ich habe auch schon günstigere Produkte probiert, allerdings sind die nicht gut angekommen. Zum Teil war das Pulver doch recht grob und lies sich schlecht mit der Spritze aufziehen. Dieses hier ist ganz anders. Es riecht sehr gut und hat angerührt mit Wasser eine sehr schöne Konsistenz. Lässt sich gut aufziehen und ins Mäulchen spritzen. Die Meerschweinchen lieben es und auch die gesunden sind immer ganz gierig danach. 100% Kaufempfehlung, wer seinen Tieren etwas gutes tun will.

The actual flavor is a bit strong (smells like black licorice and barn hay!), so I mix it with baby food. This combo is perfect for my rat, and he gobbles it all up throughout the day. This has helped him perk back up, gain some hydration, and gain weight (which he needed). However... - It often gives him some slight diarrhea, or just general large, messy poop. - Said poop smells very, very strong. My cage smells like a barn now! - The package isn't very large, so if you have a rat that just wont get healthy like mine and are constantly feeding him this, it can get pretty expensive. Highly recommend though.
