In the past I've used primers and didn't like them. Most left me feeling really dry and would only work for part of the day. Sunset Light primer is AMAZING!!!! It still is a bit pricey but this product is amazing. It doesn't feel like the usual primers where they leave you feeling dry and tight. This one leaves your skin feeling amazing and moisturized. You don't need that much product because a little goes a long way. I will definitely buy this again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice primer! *by M***V on July 10, 2017* Normally I don't like or wear primers. I have tried so many of them and they either make my foundation ball up, cake up, and just generally don't do well (or really do much of anything) with my normal to dry skin. I was in no need to try a new one, but something about Sunset Light (the name maybe?) intrigued me as did a couple of YouTube people using it so I was able to order a sample here to give it a whirl and ended up liking it so much that I came back on here to order the full size but choked when I saw the original price tag of $60, I think? Yikes. I kept stalking Veil for a sale, but one day noticed that the price had been reduced to $45 which was a slight improvement, but then combined with some Amex Points money I had accumulated it brought the price down to half of that, so I ordered this. Guess what? I NOW have a primer that I not only like, but bordering on loving it. This gel-like primer goes on like a dream, absorbs instantly, and hydrates my skin and whatever foundation, cc cream, or bb cream I'm putting on works great with it. It diffuses any imperfections and almost makes my face look like it does when I have my makeup mirror on "evening" mode - you know that soft light one that makes you look 10 jillion times better than "office" or "day"? Well, this primer tends to give me that soft lit-from-within look. So friends, it's a keeper, with a proviso. I would never spend $45 on a primer and don't plan on doing so any time soon - so this will be a repurchase when and if I accumulate more Amex rewards points or if Veil has a sale. Love it. ### ⭐ Didn’t work for me. No smoothing efffect. *by B***H on October 6, 2018* I was looking for something to replace my beloved Miracle Skin Transformer, but this is not it for me. I could get the same luminescent effect just adding a bit of my cheap liquid highlighter to my foundation. I saw no smoothing of pores or fine lines happening — even with a rather generous layer of this product. It did not work well as an underlay beneath any of the three foundations I tried. Made my face flakey, and foundation tough to smooth evenly. The original mineral veil was recommended by a very reputable MUA, so I should have just ordered that.
