Amazing, duo, great quality, full power
The blower is amazing. The fact that it has a hold switch like cruise control is so easy on the hand. The edger is great. It works as a mini lawnmower to shrink some long grass or get some weeds out of the way and if you turn it around, you can edge I do wish the head had an adjustable neck. The actual spool and spring system is very good quality and heavy duty. All my old edges used to pop out and unspool such a waste of money as soon as I felt the spool in the metal in the snap on material, I knew this was a great product and I normally don’t write this much about products they either are OK or they’re just garbage. I’m so happy with this. I’ve never had any lawn tools that were wireless. Everything‘s been corded, including my blower & my edger the freedom you get with these is very cool. 40 minutes of yardwork and the battery still had one bar left. The photo of the side of our house if you look toward the back that whole section where it’s brown dirt was all weeds that was cleared out with this edger.

Works pretty good
This set works pretty good. I have a really small yard, so I switched to these battery tools instead of having to buy and store fuel. Battery - So far I have been able to use both on one battery charge without any degradation of power. My only gripe with the battery is sometimes charger acts like it's not charging. But when I check the battery, it seems fine. I have to unplug/replug the charger, then it acts right. Trimmer - Lightweight. Came with 2 spools, so that'll be nice if I run out of string in the middle of trimming, can just switch it out. Sometimes the line doesn't feed on the bump. Otherwise, it works great for me. Blower - Here is where they lose a star. It's not as powerful as I would like. I doubt it's 110mph like the specs say. It's slower than my electric which is rated at 90mph. Definitely not as powerful as the electric one that I'm replacing. But the advantage here is no cord. So I can live with it. Overall a good value and just what i need for my small yard.

As good as gas powered, but much better
The good folks at Greenworks have another hit. This 60V cordless string trimmer hits that sweet spot of having enough power without feeling like overkill. This 60V unit has the power to blast through all sorts of weeds, and the 4 amp hour capacity lasts long enough to get most medium and some larger jobs done in one charge. It is definitely comparable to a 25 cc gas powered string trimmer, but without the hassle or noise. Unsurprisingly, this battery powered string trimmer is relatively quiet, unlike its gas powered cousins. Also unlike gas powered, it is very simple to use. Just put in the battery and go. The weight is comparable to a gas powered string trimmer. It isn't feather light, but it comes with a strap that helps a lot. I can use it for an hour and not feel completely wiped out. I also like that I can use attachments with it. I happen to have a couple of attachments from other brands and they worked perfectly fine with this string trimmer. Specifically, I have used a pole saw and a hedge trimmer attachment with it. Both made quick work of the job at hand. I also appreciate that it comes with a high capacity battery and charger. I've seen others that only come with a smaller capacity battery, or perhaps none at all, but this is a good one and done starter set that will serve you well. It also comes with a bit of 080 string. When it runs out, I plan to use 095 string, but even the 080 is quite durable and effective, which is why I haven't used it all up yet. I often see this particular string trimmer listed at far below the list price, and I consider it to be a very good value. So, skip the bargain trimmers at the big box stores and get this instead. I've owned several string trimmers over the years and had issues with all of them, but this one is a keeper. This is likely the last string trimmer that I'll ever need.

Greenworks Lawn Care Equipment (Long Term Review)
Let's start with the items I think stand out: 1. One of the key features for me is storage. I'm a recreational cyclist so my garage is full of bikes leaving little room for lawn equipment. The Greenworks equipment stores vertically against the wall in a area of the garage not normally occupied leaving the area where I keep my road bikes free while not interfering with vehicle parking. This also may be appealing to those that like me have a standard garage but full size trucks, SUV to fit inside. 2. As this equipment has no gasoline in it, you are able to transport it inside your vehicle without the danger of exposure to explosive and toxic fumes. This combined with the mowers already compact size mean you have many options for transportation. 3. Of all 3 items only the trimmer requires servicing to replace the trimmer string and in this way it is exactly the same as gas powered unit and the trimmer string is a generic standard string I purchased at Wal*Mart. 4. I use the second battery for the mower to power the trimmer. I could and sometimes do use the lower amp/hour battery that came with the combo and do when the yard is particularly thick or tall. 5. The trimmer operates like a traditional gas unit and dispenses additional string each time the trimmer is activated by the user. 6. All 3 devices have safe start buttons to insure deliberate activation and reduce the possibility of accidental activation of the device. 7. Speaking of reduced, another key plus in my book is the substantially quieter operation. The mower is not much louder than a household vacuum cleaner. Allowing me to mow much earlier in the day while it's cooler without disturbing my neighbors. 8. The mower make a reasonably effective cut but does require 2 passes to accomplish this. I think this may be a limitation of the blade speed. The mower does increase RMP when it hits a certain resistance threshold. The higher speed will help you get through a more dense patch of lawn and will maintain that speed until the resistance drops below the threshold. 9. I bag my clippings but attachments were included with the mower that would allow for either ejecting the clippings out of the side or mulching. My front yard is a mixture of fescue, and buffalo grass and grows quite densely and the mower does have to work to cut this area. The sides and back are mostly buffalo and are fertilized but not watered 10. The combination of all areas including the ally is 2,600 sf. and used to require approximately a 1 gallon of gasoline a month to maintain with a gas powered edger and mower, and fuel oil mixture for the string trimmer and blower and the inconvenience annually of servicing the motor oil and spark plugs. Comparatively it cost pennies a month to charge the batteries with a substantially reduced mechanical footprint and no physical exposure to fuel or oil. Additionally fumes escaping from gas equipment and containers no longer contaminate the living environment of the house through the garage. 11. Now lets consider durability. I have been using this group of Greenworks equipment for over 1 year now with the same batteries that came originally with the equipment. I have experienced no failures or defects. After 2 mowing seasons the battery life has met my expectations of reliability. This was the most important aspect to me because if the batteries died prematurely it would completely negate any operational cost savings. 12. Aesthetically the mower has been style to have to outward appearance of a traditional gas mower and while this may not be of particular importance to me personally, some may feel that it is a selling point. 13. Now let's talk initial cost. In 2006 I bought a full set of Yardman gas equipment totaling $1,300 and it would cost even more to buy that equipment today. The Greenworks equipment totaled $550 making its up front cost a considerable value if reliable. 14. Care for this equipment is not totally without effort. Once a month I routinely wash out the bottom of the mowing deck to insure clippings flow effectively to the bag. The lack of heat from a combustion engine seems to preserve the painted finish allowing the deck to be completely cleaned to a almost new state and I have not seen any indication of chipping or rust. 15. Despite regular use the cutting blade has remained sharp and has not required sharpening. 16. The blower works every bit as effectively as a gas powered blower but is perhaps the loudest of the 3 pieces of equipment. I have always been able to mow my entire yard on a single charge of all 3 batteries but a yard larger than maybe 3,200 sf. would likely require additional batteries which can be purchased separately at a cost of $119.99 each. In conclusion for my size and type of yard, the Greenworks equipment has been a very good solution for my lawn care, and I highly recommend this gear. Who wouldn't I recommend this gear for? I wouldn't recommend this for someone who has a lot if tall brush or rough cut obstacles that have to be routinely traversed. This is not a heavy or brush cut solution.

Powerful enough to tackle a PNW yard
Opened the box and plugged the battery into the charge unit. Took me about 20 minutes to assemble the trimmer. When I was finished the battery was fully charged! Took it for a spin and started with trimming edges all around my garden. Approximately 40 minutes or so. Then jumped over my fence and took on overgrown Oregon native blackberries and tall grasses along 20 feet of my fence line. Chewed through the thick stuff with little effort. Battery died out after about 15-20 mins. Total run time was about an hour. Plugged the battery back into the charger and took 15 minutes to recharge. Trimmer felt balanced and not too heavy. Comes with a strap but I didn't need it. Motor is plenty powerful enough to tackle a PNW yard! Blackberries and all !!

OK Quality
We have purchased four items from this company. One we haven't used yet - but we have concerns about the cheap design and hard set up one of that item (the snow blower - which will get a review after it snows). Another item is the lawn mower, which is a horrible piece of junk (and has its own review). Both of these items (the leaf blower and the weed whacker) worked as expected. We wish we got a more powerful leaf blower, but that's probably more of a preference for our needs than a specific complaint about this blower. It has a 40/2 battery that we have to share between the two of them and the battery doesn't last very long even just using one piece of equipment at a time. Because of the lawn mower (with its own review), we won't recommend purchasing anything from this company to anyone who we don't want to see frustrated. Once we use the leaf blower and weed whacker more, we will update this review with any other opinions or (hopefully not) issues that might arise.

A Decent Cordless Trimmer/Blower Combo
I recently replaced my 15-year-old gas trimmer with this cordless unit because I was tired of trying to keep the gas unit running. This is my first experience with a cordless model. I'm still getting used to it, having used the trimmer only 3 times so far. It seems to work quite well, although maybe not quite as powerful as my old gas model. I have a 1/2 acre of property, which probably includes at least 500 feet of curb, sidewalk, driveway and flower bed trimming. The first time I used it I walked quite fast and was able to trim everything reasonably well plus use the blower on all edging except the flower beds before the recharge light came on. This set came with a 2.0 AH battery, but since then I purchased a 6.0AH battery to make sure that I always had an adequate source of power to complete the job, at a slower pace. I initially had a problem trying to assemble the blower tube, but after a few minutes was finally able to put the lower tube on. I've had a problem with the trimmer string, in that on several occasions it partially welded itself on the spool. I've purchased a can of silicon spray, have sprayed the spool and so far the string appears to be playing out as it should. For what it's worth, with the 6.0AH battery, the trimmer weighs about 8 pounds and with the 2.0 AH battery it weighs about 7.5 pounds. My old gas model weighed about 10 pounds with a full tank of gas, so being that I'm almost 80 years old, this is a bit easier to tote around. The blower does a decent job of blowing debris away. I would recommend this combo to other customers, and I'm hoping my "fix" to keep the string playing out will continue. Update - After reading another customer's review, and looking at a picture of the blower, it was obvious that my tube was at least a foot shorter than it was supposed to be. Why was that? On closer inspection I discovered a tube located inside that one. (It had been jammed inside and took a little effort in removing it). However, after removing it, it was then easy to assemble the tubes, and with the partial "obstruction" removed, the air velocity was greater.
