Vale’s™ Hedgehog Food – specially developed – used daily at Vale Wildlife Hospital – meaty, crunchy biscuits, high in fibre – suitable and nutritious – ideal addition to their natural diet (1.5kg)

I bought the smallest bag of Vale's hedgehog food to see if our hedgehog visitor liked it. S/he didn't like it, but LOVED it and is back every evening looking for more. Definitely worth every penny and my hedgehog is looking great.

Excellent Hedgehog food which the prickle that frequent my wildlife garden have enjoyed each night since emerging from hibernation. The presence of some smaller ones indicates that the feed I gave in Sept to Oct last year must have helped them to survive the winter. Bought a 5kg bag to reduce the cost and hopefully last until the weather warms up and the natural food is more plentiful. Essential to leave shallow water bowls as this is dry small kibble. Note to manufacturer or packing, please ensure that the zip lock on the 5kg bag remains closed as when it arrived there was a lot of food loose in the outer box and it gaping open at the carry handle.

Our garden hedgie loves this and she can be fussy, we have tried lots of food over the years but this one was a winner from day one.

Great food for my little hog! Tiny biscuits that he loves to munch for a good 10 mins at different times through the night, I leave a shallow bowl of water out for him to drink as he seems quite dehydrated. Good value for money so far for one hog, not a strong smell but he soon sniffs the food out. Fully recommended.

We are fortunate to live in a rural area and have had up to five different hedgehogs visit our garden. This food is a nice size biscuit. The quality must be good as the hedgies eat whatever is put out, water is also put out for them. There has been a noticeable difference in their size since I have been putting the food out. It’s November now and the visits have lessened so hopefully they will have a healthy hibernation. Looking forward to seeing more hedgehogs next year.

Not too sure how discerning hedgehogs are, but whatever we put out at night is gone in the morning! Sometimes there’ll be one or more waiting when I pop out with the loaded hog tray. So it’s obviously good enough to hang around for. And I’m sure a well balanced food must contribute to the well rounded hedgehogs we see as winter approaches. The trick is in the timing - getting it out there after the local cats have gone in. I suspect it’s close enough to cat kibble to find favour with felines too!
