I read the other reviewers saying that the plug part bothered them so I was nervous about wearing these for long periods of time but I had no problems.For what it's worth I have a wide foot and these shoes were totally comfortable.In terms of the being "plugged in" part, I honestly haven't seen much of a difference. I was hoping to feel more grounded and get some of the benefits that others talk about from grounding mats (to a smaller degree) but that hasn't happened yet.I bought these at the same time I got these  Okabashi Womens Maui Thong Flip Flop Sandals (Black, Large)  - and because those have better arch support and I feel more benefit, I end up wearing those more.Overall I treat these as a regular pair of flip flops and I don't think they're worth it for a regular pair of flip flops. ### ⭐ By the end I was limping - I had to take a taxi home a short distance it was so bad. If these are only meant to be worn for short periods of time, and/or on grass or soft ground, the manufacturer should include instructions about this. ### ⭐⭐ BAD design! *by B***A on Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2017* The seller gave super service. My Pluggz run only slightly large, no big deal. However, the teeny metal and plastic circle on the foot strap is a highly ignorant, potentially health hazardous design. It bleeds metal into the wearer's skin that must be scrubbed off after a short wearing (the plastic is on top facing away from the foot). One has to wonder about metal leeching into the tender tops of the skin of the feet. I tried to remove these silly metal pieces but could not. MAYBE I can pay a shoe cobbler to remove them.
