It appears to be written by someone who speaks English as a second language and the "step by step" guide is almost non-existent. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good information just expected more design ideas. *by A***D on Reviewed in the United States on April 23, 2014* The book gave some good broad information. I was hoping for more nuts and bolts information on planning, building and planting. ### ⭐ It reads more like a school project than a book you would pay ... *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2014* This book appears to be full of images either stolen or just taken from assorted websites. I highly doubt the "author" has permission to use these images.This book totally fails to deliver on its titular promise to be a complete step by step guide. It reads more like a school project than a book you would pay money for. At 51 brief pages (many have only a few sentences), it is a pamphlet at best. Other reviewers have mentioned the poor grammar and poorly organised structure - they are completely correct! But the problems don't end there. The author gives "advice" such as to "neither over fertilize nor under fertilize" (page 9). The book is full of generalisations such as this rather than specific details necessary to get started. In the section discussing Location (page 37), we are told that outdoors locations should have "optimum sunlight, neither too low not (sic) too high." No further explanation is given of how to determine the actual requirements or optimum location.Although it is obvious that the author has done some work to learn about Aquaponics, I question their actual understanding of the material they discuss. They promise that Aquaponics will give you a "parasite- free house" (page 8). I cannot fathom how that can be achieved using Aquaponics. On page 41 they state "plants require extremely low pH levels" - I guess all this time I should have been growing all my plants in acid!Finally when you reach page 45 of 51, you will find a few very brief steps on creating your own system. I would advise that instead of trying to follow these poor instructions, Google it. If you do like the images in this section and want to build the system shown here, go to the actual source at www.japan-aquaponics.com/micro-aquaponics-plans.html and use their much more detailed and useful images and instructions.The most this book delivers is a broad overview of Aquaponics.
