If bitterness is actually an indication of legit tudca, these are bitter. I don't put a lot of stock in that because people who are out to sell bogus tudca can just use a bitter tasting filler I suppose. It comes with a lab tested guarantee, though it is a little pricey. My only complaint is that the bottle is twice the size it needs to be, but it came with 61 capsules, one over the stated quantity. UPDATE 3-8-2025: I indicated in my original review that I would be trying a different brand of TUDCA and would compare the taste of those with these. Turns out, the other brand of TUDCA doesn't have much of a taste. So, that these have such a strong and horrible taste is not just a fact of TUDCA supplements. It is specific to this brand. ORIGINAL Review: This is my first experience with this supplement so I don't know how long it should take before I notice any changes that would be attributable to the supplement. I haven't had any side effects that I am aware of. The taste of the capsules is absolutely horrible. The first time I took it, I thought I might have had something on my fingers that transferred to the capsule. But subsequent capsules tasted just as bad and I've confirmed that the taste is the capsule and not my fingers. The taste is immediate and bitter. It does go away after a few seconds or a swish of water. But it was jarring. This seems like an expensive supplement in general. I've seen other similar supplements from about half the price. As I don't have testing equipment, I can't say if this product is better quality. I haven't noticed any digestion problems or improvements. I also haven't noticed any pain or pain relief. I will be trying a different brand of TUDCA soon. If the flavor of those capsules is the same as these, I will adjust the rating I've given and post an update. But I've given this 4 stars because of the horrible taste.

My only complaint about this would be the jar itself. LOL. I hate the big wide jars like this. I do like that the company is based out of the USA. I like that the company info is clearly listed. This only contains tudca according to the label which is nice to find. The capsules are smaller than other tudca supplements I have ordered before. It also had a bit of chemical smell. I can't explain that, but I also had no issues taking them.

I got this because I read about the benefits, including cellular function, and it also aids in digestion. It does help detox your liver as well, and I like full body detoxing from time to time just because of all of the additive junk in food etc. I have not had any adverse side effects; it does seem to help with digestion from what I've noticed, and I like the cellular function boost.
