Comparative to Brand Names
I was a bit hesitant buying a generic product, but I was pleasantly surprised. So I wanted to write a review to help inform other buyers. I am quite picky about my shampoo. I don’t want anything leaving any buildup on my scalp because that leads to issues for my sensitive skin. Organic products are the best products for me. I have tried many different tea tree shampoos and most have been fairly lackluster and I end up tossing most in the trash. If I don’t feel the tea tree oil scalp tingle, it’s a no-go for me! I love tea tree on my scalp because it helps to soothe it far more than any other organic plant or substance. The ingredients in Amazon’s shampoo are minimal, which makes it a great buy. I’m very particular about what I put in and on my body in general and I know many others do as well, so I planned to really critique this specific product. Amazon has been putting out some great name brand products and this tea tree shampoo is certainly one of them. My scalp gets squeaky clean and my hair stays soft, unlike many of the other brands that are sold on here. There are so many other shampoo options that seem to just smell like tea tree oil, but don’t have enough in it to actually benefit your hair and scalp. The smell of this one is absolutely delicious! You also get a really good lather that helps really clean the scalp. Its performance and quality far surpassed my initial expectations. Hair soft and clean, this product is definitely a contender. The only con or downside is that the bottle is very small. However, that was my fault for not reading how many ounces. I just assumed it’d be a normal shampoo bottle size. Although it’s small, the product works so well that I might just order two every time. Also it lathers so well that you don’t really have to use as much as you think. Hope this helps.

Amazon Basics Tea Tree Shampoo
Amazon Basics Tea Tree Shampoo WONDERFUL, luxurious smell and lather for scalp and hair. Helpful for many ailments and it works! No information of tea tree oil percentage; still very effective!

Good but not as good as the original
I recently bought this Tea Tree Shampoo and compared it to the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Shampoo, which I’ve used for a while now. Both shampoos have tea tree oil, so they’re great for keeping your scalp refreshed and your hair clean. The Paul Mitchell shampoo has a stronger scent and that cool, tingling feeling you get on your scalp, which I love—it really wakes you up! The sensation is pretty intense, which I personally enjoy. The Tea Tree Shampoo I tried here was good too, but it wasn’t as strong in terms of scent or the cooling effect. It still cleaned my hair well and left it feeling fresh, but it didn’t give me that same “wow” feeling as the Paul Mitchell version. If you like that strong, cooling sensation, go for the Paul Mitchell shampoo. But if you want something a bit milder but still effective, this Tea Tree Shampoo is a solid choice. Both do a great job, just with different vibes!

Affordable and refreshing(updated)
Update(just reordered a third time, I really love this stuff) This tea tree shampoo works really well—it leaves my hair feeling clean without drying it out, and the tea tree oil gives that nice cooling tingle on the scalp that makes it feel extra refreshing. It lathers up easily, rinses out without residue, and honestly feels just as good as some of the pricier brands I’ve tried. The best part? It’s much cheaper than the competition. You still get that invigorating tea tree effect and a healthy clean, but without paying salon prices. If you like that fresh, tingly feeling and want a shampoo that delivers without breaking the bank, this is a great choice.

Worth it
I dont think people give the amazon brand enough credit. This is a great shampoo and very affordable too. I will be buying it again.

Small, smells a bit weird
The size isn't great for the price. The cooling effect on my scalp is decent. The smell was pleasant at first, but then kind of turned into an pleasant chemically rubber smell.

Nice shampoo for less cost
Like the shampoo. Feels good on my scalp and leaves it clean. Works as well as more expensive shampoo

Amazon Basics Tea Tree Shampoo Does Compare More Than Favoably With Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo
85 year old male still with nice head of gray/white hair. Using Paul Mitchel (which I had purchased in green bottle from Sports Clips). Didn't say PM on bottle but did state manufactured by "Paul Mitchel Companies". Didn't like - shampoo too thin had to use large amount to get foamy. Also, downsized from large home to apartment with wife. Needed "smaller" sizes of everything, esp in bathrooms, kitchen, etc. Decided to try Amazon Basics - 10.14 oz size better. Very pleasantly surprised at how much better it was than PM. Thicker than watery PM, so use less. Wife tried it and said same thing. She had been using PM also. Both liked lighter tea tree smell from Basics, small bottle to hold in hand, easier smaller spout, feel of shampoo, soft feeling of hair after drying. Saw a few of reviews and evryone is entitled to say what he/she wishes. But the one I saw seemed so off the mark - not foamy, tea tree smell not enough, not thick enough, etc. Gave it a one. Dont know where that came from. Dont recall if verified user. Anyway, we are both in the 80s, pretty picky and set in a lot of our ways, but we can change still if we find something better as we did here. States on bottle compare to paul mitchell tea tree oil shampoo. I would add it compares favorably to PM and we like it better for reasons stated.
