Just a few bolts, nuts and washers (For the weighted base frame). The long bolt holes for the umbrella poles are difficult to align but managed. The difficult part for me was filling the Weighted Base. I suggest placing the base on a 45 degree angle to start the fill. Trying to fit all that sand inside is a pain in the butt. That is a load of weight.Overall a very good design, sturdy well built frame and umbrella. So far so good. But, the umbrella base arrived with a giant crack in it and it never help water above the half full mark. I needed it for a party in the beginning of June, so I never contacted the company about a replacement as I would not be able to return it immediately. I may try to repair it with some JB Weld or something, but for now, it has a large concrete block weighing it down.Update 09/18/2023 - I received a follow up message from the seller here on Amazon and they are sending me a new base. Let me be clear, I did not contact them about the defective base. They proactively reached out to me based on my comments in my review. To me, that is exceptional customer service. I was willing to live with it and try to repair it, but they made it right. So, in my opinion, the service received here is excellent! I do love this umbrella and I am ecstatic that I will be able to utilize it properly now. Much easier with two people but possible for one. The umbrella itself is on a swivel at the top which allows it to swing in the breeze a bit. This is actually a feature I think, saves it from wind damage.They both came with bases, the bigger one came with a metal frame and 4 strong casters with brakes, on which the base attaches. The smaller came with two plastic wheels that fit onto the bottom of the base.
