Useful for connecting hard drive to an older iPad.
This works great to connect an external hard drive to my iPad with the Lightning port. The hard drive shows up in the Files App. It needs to be used with a powered USB hub as the iPad cannot power the drive.

This adapter is a lifesaver! It’s truly plug-and-play, making transferring 4K videos and photos to my iPhone incredibly fast. The added charging port is a genius touch, so I never run out of battery while using my MIDI keyboard or flash drive. Excellent quality and highly recommended for creators!

Great product
What I needed for file transfer

Zero quality; should get zero stars
The pass-thru charging didn’t work until I restarted my iPhone. After that, I got about an hour’s use of this while still plugged into my known-good Lightning cable and power brick while running my Cobalt DAC off the USB port. Suddenly the entire gizmo stopped working after about an hour’s use. Now it won’t work at all. This goes back to amazon; lesson learned about cheap, ahem, Asian electronics. I’ve already ordered the genuine Apple version of this. Caveat emptor!

Doesn’t Charge and Causes Audio Noise
The adapter’s power port is Lightning, not USB-C, and it does not charge the device even with a 20W original charger. It also causes speaker noise when using the USB port with a MIDI instrument like a piano.

este adaptador realmente lo merece. Lo compré para usarlo con mi laptop y desde el primer momento se nota que es un producto bien hecho. Los materiales se sienten resistentes y el diseño es limpio y práctico. Lo he estado usando con varios dispositivos (pantalla externa y accesorios) y la conexión ha sido estable en todo momento.

El producto no me funciono, de hecho no lo lee mi memoria. La caja venía súper rota y maltratada, espere mucho para que esté en mal estado el producto.
