Classic 1909 Tarot Deck – Vintage Reproduction Tarot Cards with Original 1909 Artwork – Linen Finish – Spiritual Gift for Beginners & Readers

I’ve gone through a bunch of RWS decks over the years, and this one surprised me in the best way. The colors are just right. They’re not bright and cartoonish like the standard RWS, but they’re also not dark or blurry like the Centennial. Everything looks clean, clear, and easy on the eyes. It feels like the artwork finally found its balance. The linen cardstock is what really sold me. It feels sturdy and high-quality, with a nice texture that makes shuffling smooth and comfortable. There was only a tiny break-in period, and after that the cards handled beautifully. Durable, but not stiff or plasticky. I’ve been using them regularly, and they stay flat, don’t clump, and just feel good in the hands. I liked them so much that I actually bought two extra decks as backups, because I know I’ll be using this one a lot. Bottom line: Great look, great feel, great quality. I’m genuinely happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

This is the best version of the RWS tarot with the Pamela Coleman Smith art that I’ve found. For reference, I own 20+ decks. Super high quality at a great price point. Durable, easy to shuffle, and fits/feels great in your hands. The cards don’t stick together and aren’t too slippery either. No need to powder them! The design on the back is beautiful, simple, and clean, making it a perfect gift for any age, gender, or experience level. You also can’t tell if a card is reversed or not, which I personally find important when doing readings to not illicit subconscious bias. The art is vivid and shows up great in photographs or videos if you’re doing readings online. I’m so glad I found out about this deck from Fae Sight aka Nicole. It is now my primary deck!

This deck is a direct scan and reprint of a 1909 deck with the roses and lilies back. It looks aged and has a beautiful antique aura. For the price this deck is a steal. It Shuffles well and the cardstock is fantastic. This company is hit or miss with each deck seemingly having different cardstock which may or may not be coated. This deck is a hit.

These cards are HIGH quality! Theres not a single card that is printed off center, the satin texture of the cards feel great, they’re easy to shuffle, the imagery is clear, and they’re true to the original Rider Waite Smith imagery. I just can’t say enough great stuff about this deck! The only thing I was unsure of was the size the cards because it wasn’t listed (standard tarot 4.75), but I reached out to the brand on TikTok and they confirmed the size, which was nice! It also turns out they’re located in Nashville like me, so I’m happy to support a small business. Thomas also included a little thank you note inside of the box which was such a thoughtful touch. Oh, and they shuffle like a dream. The colors are more muted than most OG decks, but I wanted something that had a more “worn in” feel and it adds to the charm. These feel like the deck you’ve been waiting for your whole life. The box is sturdy and I like how it store the cards. 20/10, you need to get these. They’ll last you a life time. Oh and the guide book is nice too!

This deck is immaculate! The linen finish and the thickness of the cards makes it a pleasure to shuffle. I love the lily design in the back and the meaning behind them. This is the highest quality tarot deck I own, totally worth it for the price! I love the old vintage look, in other Raider-Smith decks the yellow seems overpowering, these tonalities seem more balanced and appropiate. I also like how they credit Pamela for the design of the cards by name, in the also high quality box it comes in and is used for storage. Would definitely reccomend.

These cards have a linen finish. This means they are more durable than some other cardstock, and flexible for shuffling. The colors are great. I am not a huge fan of those RWS decks with the too bright colors, this is perfect and gives it a slightly vintage feel. Think along the lines of the commemorative Pamela Coleman Smith deck for colors. This has the white and blue lily pattern on the back. The white is not TOO white. The only thing I would cast as something to consider is that all the cards are slightly zoomed in as compared to those decks from major publishers. Some things are cut off, like the trees in the Lovers card, or parts of the end cups in the 9 of cups. The symbols are still there, just might not be ALL there or kissing the edge. Still completely readable.

Nice Deck. I would highly recommend over the Original Tarot made by De Brigh, the Tarot Vintage made by La Scarabeo or any of the US Games versions. Pros: Linen card stock, shuffle easy, original illustrations with Pamela Coleman Smith signature on each card, Love the muted coloring, the texture and the sturdy box they come in. Cons: Not a big fan of the blue and white lily pattern on the back of cards, I wish they would have chosen a more visually pleasing pattern. Guidebook is very basic, black and white, no pics and no reverse readings. But to it's credit, it gives a detailed narrative on the traditional meaning of each card rather than just key words with no reference to the imagery.

Amooo esta baraja. Me encanta el estilo vintage y el grosor es muy bueno. Parece que cortarom un poquito algunas imágenes (en las orillas) pero es muy poco y no me molesta. En verdad siento que es una baraja antigua. La uso muy seguido y no se ha dañado.

Quando eu abri a caixa e senti as cartas em minhas mãos, tive certeza que este deck vai ser meu tarot principal, tanto que fiz questão de ir no Instagram do Thomas (o dono da empresa aparentemente) deixar um elogio pra ele "pessoalmente"! Inclusive ele deixou uma breve mensagem na embalagem, que mostra um cuidado com seus produtos! A qualidade dessas lâminas é surreal, supera até mesmo as da U.S. Games e Lo Scarabeo que são as editoras de tarot mais famosas, e olha que a Vieux Monde é considerada nova e "indie" no ramo (ainda, pois tem potencial pra crescer muito mais)! Pontos positivos: - A caixa é de papelão, robusta, e ela é mais cinza do que parece nas fotos de divulgação, mas isso não é algo negativo (a única coisa que pecou foi a embalagem da Amazon mesmo, que foi nenhuma, logo não protegeram a encomenda direito e a caixa do deck veio com um pequeno amassado); - Acompanha um livreto, bem sucinto, porém bem feito, mas pra ser sincero, não me importo muito com eles; ao menos ele é grosso o bastante para deixar as cartas quietas na caixa, sem deixar elas ficarem sambando 😂; - As cartas têm uma espessura boa, não são fininhas, e elas são um pouco maiores que os tarots tradicionais (quem tem a mão pequena pode estranhar, mas não desista dele porque vale cada centavo!); - Elas também têm um tipo de textura padronizada em relevo, tanto na frente como no verso, e dou destaque para essa textura porque ela não deixa o deck escorregadio, mesmo ele sendo de plástico (ou é de um papel bem resistente, não identifiquei ainda 😅), ao mesmo tempo que para embaralhar é muito gostoso! Pouquíssimos decks do meu conhecimento conseguiram fazer essa proeza e se utilizaram desse artifício! - Um clássico é um clássico, o Tarot de RWS é o mais famoso atualmente, e nessa edição da Vieux Monde eles foram muito fiéis ao original, até mesmo na imagem das costas! As lâminas não ficaram com cores saturadas ou então sem saturação, ou mesmo com algum filtro matizador, estão no ponto ideal! Sem contar que eles melhoraram a qualidade das imagens, principalmente os traços pretos dos arcanos, mas sem parecer que foi usado uma "mediana" (termo de Photoshop), ou seja, sem deixar com um aspecto moderno e contínuo, mantiveram-se fiéis aos traços originais ao mesmo tempo que os aperfeiçoaram! Pontos Negativos: do deck em si, nenhum, mas a Amazon precisa melhorar no que diz respeito a proteção das encomendas! Pra esse deck eu dou um 10/10 🏆 (Inclusive já estou de olho em outros decks dessa editora)! Vale cada centavo, e ele não é um absurdo de caro igual eu já vi outros baralhos por aí, pois pela altíssima qualidade que ele entrega, é um valor muito justo (claro que na promoção é mais interessante comprar 😅 então se der pra esperar, comprem na promoção para ficar ainda mais em conta, assim como eu fiz 😂)!

This was my first deck from Vieux Monde, but it certainly won't be my last! This is a great deck for RWS lovers and Tarot beginners. The cardstock is durable, flexible and a joy to shuffle (I'm a riffler!). The deck comes in a sturdy, elegant two-part box, which will protect your deck while looking classy! But here's the best part: the gorgeous colouration! They have nailed the soft and refined colour of the 1909. Gone are the gaudy, blinding yellows of the standard modern version. They have also included the lovely blue roses and lilies backs, which were only used upon the 1909 release. Unlike other "1909" recreations, this deck does not have the 'green-out' effect and the colours remain true. With this deck, you'll feel like you are holding something truly classic in your hands.

I’ve been searching for the best tarot cards, but most of the decks I found had backs that looked completely out of place. Even when the fronts stayed true to the original vintage artwork, the backs were modern and didn’t match the style at all, which broke the visual coherence. After hours of searching, I finally found this brand, and I’m amazed. They kept the original back design, and it perfectly matches the old-style artwork on the fronts. I also checked out their other decks, the gold edition, the antique edition, and they’re all beautifully done. I’m confident I made the right choice with this one. That said, I do wish I had the option to buy the version with the red-green–white back design shown on their website. I believe that is the fully colored version of the blue-white design.
