It's white light is strong and focused. Stronger than a phone's flashlight. It does charge with a USB c from above but only from slow old phone charging heads and not from the newer ones. It battery lasts for a long time too. The only nitpick is that the switch works by sliding forward for white light and backwards for yellow light with the middle position as off. The problems are: 1- the switch is cheap textured plastic but still sturdy 2- the switch doesn't click into place with enough force to prevent you from accidentally skipping the off position and reaching the white or yellow positions (especially when using one hand).
