Great Dome Camera
I run a compete Reolink system. Of 8 cameras, 5 of them are the RLC840. Decent FOV, great night vision, and excellent configurability. Other cameras in use are a RLC1240, Elite Pro Floodlight PoE, and a Duo 3v PoE.

First "security" domed camera.
My 2nd 4k reolink product. It's great. Have it vertically mounted. The spiders and geckos love it too. The viewing angle is really nice and wide. The night vision and the security dome are the only downsides. Any smudge or dirt on the dome causes extreme IR clouding. But I mean it's nothing a wipe down can't solve. I'll probably replace my other RLC 540s with this.

Finally a good vandal-proof camera
This is a great camera. As with most Reolink cameras, the picture quality is excellent, but for me the features are the main draw. PROS: - rugged metal construction - picture quality - color vision at night is improved - 2-way talk - people, pet, vehicle detection CONS: - built in light bounces off the dome making the picture washed out I leave the motion lights turned off at night because it makes the picture quality worse. It's a nice concept and maybe under ideal conditions it's helpful, but in my application I found that it made the picture worse, so I had to turn it off. Luckily the color at night is still really good, especially because I mounted mine near my driveway floodlights and they illuminate better than the camera does. All in all, it's a great camera. Highly recommended.

Great!
We were looking for a wired camera system for our house, and had received a couple of rec’s for Reolink. I have to say, the clarity and range the camera picks up is incredible. My only negative feedback is that when it rains, the camera will sometimes recognize rain as a “person” in our driveway. This can be annoying especially n the middle of the night with the alerts going off non stop. Otherwise, excellent system and cameras.

These guys... My goodness.
Reolink must really study their market carefully. This camera looks nice, and eventually functions "good enough," but it's not a great camera package - just, "OK." Whoever you buy your Reolink products from plan on updating the firmware before you get up on the ladder. They seem to ship the hardware first and ship the "fixes" later via software updates. And, don't drill all the holes until you get used to what your "product" can actually do. We had many surprises by how "just by a little bit" Reolink products don't do all they "should." They do look good once installed, and they work "OK," but they sure don't do anything extra in any sense. Having gotten used to them we've learned to trust nothing and to count on "figuring it out" - while being quick to return things that can't be made to work. (That return window closes fast when you hit a snag...) "OK" camera, silly mounting issues, limited adjustment options once in place, and "almost good" performance - nearly every time - after you work for it. Expect no help from any manuals with the product and almost nothing from "Support." Neither exists in sufficient quantity with Reolink. Too bad too, because if they knew their own products better and supported them better Reolink could have a much better reputation. So close, so often... So, "so-so."

Great picture, great value
Great camera, great picture. 2 way audio and siren are a nice feature. Very sturdy. I will continue to upgrade my wother Reolink cameras with this one as I am able to.

This camera is wonderful! The picture is clear right out of the box (Even though I always update the firmware just to make sure there are no complications). I installed it about 8 feet off the ground on my smaller garage (under the soffit) where it would be exposed where someone could break it. It is rugged and feels great quality! It took me longer to fish the cable up inside the soffit and down to our outlet where I would inject POE than it did to screw into the soffit... Because of how I set up my network, it was instantly detected on the NVR and added! Total installation, less than 5 minutes! (although your mileage may vary depending on how your network is setup!)

It is a good product. But, doesn't work with all NVRs. In Reolink you can choose camera. But, NVR with what hardware version you get, it is a chance, no choice. Before buying the camera, check your NVR. If they not match, the most valuable functions will not work.

I put this outdoor but find the glass is easy to be fogged

Can be installed easily under soffits (horizontally) and on side (vertical) walls. Very easy to rotate and point the camera in any orientation before securing it to a wall, etc. But do try to install with the audio holes in the down position if possible. It has about 8" of cable hardwired - it would be better if Reolink's design gave clients the option to connect Cat5e/6/6e connectors directly into the camera's internals to eliminate the need to store/hide/secure the 8" of Cat# cable hardwired into the camera. Do not that an exposed clear dome will require occasional wiping (use a microfiber cloth) because it will spit after rains or when dust collects and dries on it (eg. Early morning dew temps). Very clear, bright picture quality. Audio is very good too and will pick up conversations if close enough (within 15ft). Motion detection is responsive and easy to filter saved videos for person, pet or vehicle (esp. when using Reolink NVR). Very happy with purchases (bought 4 to use with my Reolink NVR) alongside other models (Doorbell, Duo2, PTZ). Also, for those with privacy concerns, Reolink is less intrusive than other brands imo. I have no privacy concerns using Reolink products or its app at this time.

Good picture, easy to set up using the app or the free desktop client. Also using with my Amcrest NVR with ONVIF protocol enabled in camera settings. Very good camera.
