Amazing for back pain!!
This product is amazing! I have lower scoliosis with a 10 degree separation of my L4 to L5. I'm a 33 year old Male, 6'0'', 193lbs and I have problems bending over already at my age! I just bought this in hope that, when driving 2 hours a day round trip to and from work, that I would be in better comfort in my car... and...This product is amazing!!! It relieves all pain! It makes me feel at ease in the car and I feel great in my lower back area. (Cars I've used this in: 1979 - 244 Volvo and a 2009 Honda Fit)The only problem I have is that I cannot attach this to my body at all times...so where ever I sit, it would feel this good.If you have pain in your back and suffer from Scoliosis or posture problems, this is for you! I'm sure this would work great in the office as well. My day job is an orchestra player, so I cannot bring this to my work. (distracting to the audience and not allowed)I have the same review on the Homedics OFLB-BLK Lowback Backrest Support. I use these two together as one unit. I suggest you buy both and you will not regret it.FYI: Read their instructions... I felt that the back rest should be placed on the seat... but I was totally wrong. They should be separated some what from each other. So read all packaging material.

Good support for my Honda CR-V
After some lower back issues, I was in the market for seat and lumbar support cushions to help with longer car rides in my Gen 3 Honda CR-V. There are dozens on the market and I've tried most of them from cheap no-name brands to the expensive temperp**** and brooksto** brands. I found the cheaper ones were either too thin and non-supportive or way too firm and no give to them. I also found the more expensive ones comfy with good support, but a bit too thick and pushed me either too high up or too far forward in my seat. I turned to amazon and reviews from others which helped me settle on trying this Obus seat. Right away I found it fit almost perfectly in my CR-V's driver seat in both depth and width. After driving around for a few days, it provided the right amount of padding, and while I'm about an inch or so higher I'm nowhere near the head liner (I'm a bit under 6 feet tall). I did not experience feeling any wires or seams as others have mentioned. Finally I noticed that I no longer needed a separate lumbar cushion, the Obus seat raised me just enough to get more support from the standard seat. I also spoke with my physical therapist and she mentioned that Honda's bottom seat tends to be low and agreed just the seat cushion alone should do the trick. So if you are in the market to improve the comfort of your Honda's seat, give the Obus seat a try.

Seat bought for sciatica issue
My husband was having a leg issue with his right driving leg on long trips (over an hour) when a pain would flare up (not every time but enough to be annoying and noticeable) that he would then place his right fist under the leg to relieve the extension of the muscle by shortening it in the space - not an ideal solution to maintain this positioning for hours! I bought this cushion over others because it has plastic embedded inside skeleton to make it structurally firmer, essentially recreating his hand position. He only uses it in the car because car seats are notoriously uncomfortable and ill-suited for long trips. (He also has a long commute to work every day.), especailly Subarus, which he likes for the 4-wheel drive and wagon features. This cushion was tried for just a week and he has remarked on how much more comfortable the car seat is now with the cushion versus without it. The pain hasn't flared up at all, although the longest trip so far has only been 2 hours, but still it's a good sign that the seat is working for my intended purpose - to keep the pain from occuring in the first place.I would have rated it 5 stars, but am holding off because it's only been a week and I want to see how the cushion holds up over more time. $55 is a bit pricey for a seat cushion, so I reserve the highest rating because with a higher price comes a higher expectation on duration, which time will tell on that aspect.I would recommend this cushion for this purpose largely for the internal formed plastic structure piece. This was the only seat cushion I found with this valuable feature, which appears to be a solution for warding off the sciatic issue,.

This is my 2nd one
My first one lasted over 15 years, but I really needed a new one - barely looked at the other models - this one is so perfect for my back... I use it in my car everyday. On several occasions my husband will throw it in the back seat and I may not notice until I've been driving for 10-15 minutes. If I don't stop and put it in the driver's seat my back will suffer after 45-1 hour driving.

There are some very hard metal pieces in this thing and almost no padding
How in the world could this thing be comfortable to sit on? There are very hard metal pieces in it and I am not sure what the point of those are. It was like sitting on a metal appliance with cloth over it. going back.
