I have been using this product as a way at to naturally balance my hormones since having a hysterectomy a few years ago. I love ut to much that I buy it for all of my friends going through menopause and perimenopause. It seems to keep my mood swings in check, I have very few hot flashes, and helps with dryness. I have tried several sweet yam creams and this is the best by far. I even put it on my face as a lotion! It goes on to my face a little thick, but seems to soak in quickly. Biggest con is the price, but it it worth it to me since I feel so much better when using it.

I’ve been Perimenopause for years. I consider myself menopause because the last 3 years, I get close to a full year, then have one tiny bit of spotting and have to start the count all over again. When this all first started I thought I was going insane. All of the sudden, I was jealous- what?!?! I was irritable, all dried up and was having hot flashes. I also was not able to fast anymore as my cortisol was spiked constantly.(Used my Lumen device to tell me this). I gained freaking weight - especially around my middle- and could notice a difference in my thigh muscles that I was losing muscle- CRAP. I did some deep dive researching- studying various books on women’s cycles, etc I experimented with adding various natural supplements- Maca helped but was a wild ride for a minute- played with my libido to an annoying degree for a month before settling down. I found an oral supplement for menopause that had a big assortment of reputed hormone balancers and it has worked for me for years. I always take a week off of all supplements so my body doesn’t adapt to them and they would lose their effectiveness! I had bought this cream a year and a half ago and have used it to help when a ‘SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION’ HOT FLASH wakes me up in a panic. I sleep warm anyway- my sweet husband buried under layers of covers where as I have a top sheet and a bamboo sheet- with my arms out in the winter. That’s when this cream comes in to play. I guesstimate a half teaspoon and put it on my inner thighs( my least favorite spot now that my thighs touch) or my inner arms, and belly rotating. It works within a few days and I keep doing it until a month has passed and then take a break. This works for me very well. I’ve only used it once a day- not twice, like some yam products recommend. I know some people think this is a placebo, but it is NOT placebo for me- it is an excellent tool in my arsenal. I am extremely grateful to not wake up in a panic and have to go stand on the cold stone tile in my bathroom a few times a night. I prefer all natural products because I believe our bodies are miracles and that food (herbals etc) can be thy medicine.

I had heard so much hype about Wild Yam root, and after my hysterectomy, I wanted to start using something before the inevitable changes began. This product is wonderful! You do not have to use much, and a year after my hysterectomy, I experienced minimal symptomology of perimenopause/menopause. I will continue to use this product to manage hot flashes and mood swings, and to maintain my skin health.

I just received this wild yam cream today and am using for the first time this evening. I will update this post in a few weeks with how things are going. For today, I’d like to share how impressed I am with all of the info on the packaging and the security seal. This along with the great reviews has me very excited. Notice the security/safety seal is tucked under the label and runs completely over the lid. Awesome! 👍 The product is “hand made with love” 💗 in Minneapolis, MN USA 🇺🇸. It is certified organic. It has ingredients that I understand and recognize with wild yam root being the 3rd ingredient. There is no Estrogen or Progesterone in the cream. This is very important to me. It is also Gluten free. Not important to me, but I do appreciate that this is on the label because I know it is extremely important to many people who have Gluten allergies. Rather than an expiration date, there is a production date on the box and the jar. The consistency of the cream is light and not greasy. There is a scent of which I can’t describe but it is not unpleasant. After a few minutes I can barely smell it on my fingers and don’t smell it floating around me. Though my Labrador is curious about what the new scent is on my fingers. The cream leaves my skin soft. The creator of this product has done everything spot on in my opinion. So stand by for my edit in a few weeks when I share how my night sweats go. 😅 UPDATE 12/23/24 - I have been using this yam cream for about 8 weeks now. My hot flashes & night sweats are better but not gone. I am keeping in mind that it is winter and where I live it gets very cold and we use a pellet stove to warm our home. So it’s possible that my husband keeps our home warmer than he should in an effort to keep me warm. (Not needed, dear) I believe the yam cream works, but it is not a 100% fix for me. I don’t know that there is a 100% fix for hot flashes. I like this cream. I think it’s worth a try if you are looking for a hot flash fix. It might be your fix.
