V8 Battery Adapter for Dewalt 20V Lithium Battery Converted to Replace for Dyson V8 Battery, Works with Dyson V8 Series Animal Absolute Vacuum Cleaner(DW20V8 Adapter ONLY)

I bought this Dewalt to Dyson V8 adapter for my Dyson V8 Animal. I use dewalt branded 5AH batteries and get almost double the battery life of the original battery when it was new. Upon pulling the trigger a green light appears and the vacuum powers up, until the battery is almost depleted in which case the led turns red letting you know when to change the battery (you can still use the battery life indicator on the battery itself). One thing to note is that the original battery had a reed switch so that when the dustbin was open it wouldnt let the motor run, this adapter doesn't have that but just dont go pulling the trigger when the storage bins open. And no you can't charge it with the original dyson charger anymore, you have to charge the drill batteries as normal with a dewalt charger.

Nothing to complain about. Works as hoped.

It keeps stopping and starting it’s like a loses connection

I’m so glad I found this item. I found a discarded Dyson vacuum was thrown out for bulk item pickup. I brought it home and discovered the battery wss no good. Popped this guy in (just one screw), threw in my Dewalt battery and boom! A fully functional Dyson working as good as it probably did day it was bought! This thing saved me 200$ and gave me a free 500$ vacuum on top of it!! Very pleased!! Installation was very simple, just one screw! It matches the vacuums color scheme and looks like it was built by the OEM. It had a status light that turns on while in use. Keep in mind however, this adapter will NOT charge your battery but you should know this already. You should only charge your tool battery in a the charger designed by your manufacturer. Thankfully they thought of this by removing the power plug that was normally present in the original battery so you don’t accidentally plug your Dyson charger into this to charge your tools battery. If your vacuum is not working, consider this before buying a 250$ battery replacement. You will be pleased!

外付けバッテリー着けると重くなると聞いていましたが電動クリナーヘッドと組み合わせれば自走するのでバッテリーの重さを感じることなく快適に掃除する事が出来ることができました。またバルク２０V９Ah/１２Ah大容量バッテリーとの組み合わせで使用しているせいか時間も体感３倍以上に延びた感じで大変満足しています。

Giving this 5 stars because it took 30 seconds to swap out, was super affordable, and works with all of my batteries big and small except my new powerstack 5ahs. The vacuum will not run with it, it tries to but it sounds like it’s dying of thirst from no juice. Swapped it out with a regular 4ah and ran both max suction and extended run like it was a brand new vacuum. Buying another to fix up another used Dyson on marketplace to keep in the garage

Works great with the 5Ah 20V batteries. The 2Ah 20V ones only like the low power setting. I'd still much rather deal with that than pay another $160 for a new Dyson battery. Also there's an Etsy seller that makes a mount for it for the wall holder!

This product simply does not work. Easy to install but completely useless. As others have said, the motor runs for 1 second then shuts down. Did I say it is useless?
