Exactly what I have been looking for for years, wasted money on cheap cleavers that costed triple this one but got mingled from chopping a simple bone. This one is heavy and balanced delivering the right weight to crack goat bones, slices through them like butter BE VERY CAREFUL IT IS LASER SHARP! The handle is exquisite, I wish I could display it to admire it but I have kids and I hate for them to try to grab it cause it is so gorgeous, I love dragons and this art is "wow" for lack of better words.

It’s not stained with some mystery fluid or used it’s flipping oil to keep the blade from rusting. Also, it does not stain. It’s amazing. What a little soap and water will do. Some of the comments almost kept me from buying it. Only drawback it’s not full tang but it is heavy and durable I would re-sharpen it out of the box and it’s a decent knife for the price definitely a 9 out of 10

This is extremely sharp, good weight and a balanced feel. It handles beef and pork bones with ease. Very classical look really beautiful. I could see this becoming a family heirloom

I really love the look of this knife. It also does a great job chopping veggies. When it came it had a brown oil/film over it that took about three washes for me to remove. Also I want to point out that the top portion of the knife was silver colored and not the dark gray/black color as pictured. Overall I love the knife and am quite happy with it.

We needed a meat cleaver and I took to Amazon to find one. I wanted something out of the ordinary. I chose to search for Viking Cleaver. Garbage filled my feed. I had a lot to sort through. Most of what I was seeing did not fit my search request. Until... I came across this! It looked rugged. Nothing ornate. It looked like it belongs on a wall of Medieval Weapons! I ran to the reviews to see if this was too good to be true. After reading many, I realized they were not reviews for this beast. I contemplated my fate, should this arrive and not meet expectations during my need. I gathered my courage as I pressed "buy now." The excitement hit me until the dread rushed in. I HAD TO TELL MY WIFE! I caught her as she came through the door with groceries. She instantly smelled the guilt (or the stress fart). "What now!?" she bellowed. I winced as I held up my phone to show her. I heard the sound of her eye roll before i could even look back at her. The wet sliding of her eyeballs rolling in their sockets. I chittered out a retort. She snarled as she continued on with the groceries. The day it arrived! Anxiety find the air. I met the driver at the door as to not disturb the wife who was working from home. The glory as I pulled it from the packaging! The weight was perfect! The handle kept my knuckles from hitting the table. The wife came out for lunch and I showed her. She held it and was impressed. We both couldn't wait to use it. It was that day that I got to divide up a pork loin to freeze for later use. I glided through the meat like a hot knife through butter. The weight let the head of the blade sink right in. CHOP! My wife took a turn. She fell in love. It became her guilty pleasure to use it! I wish there was "Care For" instructions. We keep it sharp and put a little oil on it after cleaning to keep rust away. Easy to use, best value for the money, very sharp and the perfect size!

This knife is large and sharp. Pretty cool for use in the kitchen!
