How easy is it to clean machine after use.?

Extremely easy. Parts come apart easily and rinising with water gets to all of the areas. Afterwards I let parts sit out to air dry before a very simple reassembly.

Will it work on hardwood floors an vinyl flooring?

I have hardwood floors but have not used it on them but I have used it on the carpet and I love love love this thing. It is compact and light for me to carry. I feel that it will work on the wood floor. It has very good suction. I hope this helps
