I LOVE this thing! Great homelab NAS for Proxmox/TrueNAS/UnRaid etc
I was surprised how much I loved this thing once it arrived! Pros: - No sharp corners or metal. Compared to some of the devices I've received, especially how much you have to grab and reach into the case to e.g. route the SATA cables, there are no sharp edges I've found. - Very compact given the # of bays, and SATA backplane (left side) works great. Left side of bay is hot swap, right side has to be manually set up, which is a little annoying, but the price you won't hear anything bad out of me. - Looks amazing. I love looking at this in my homelab setup. - Quiet, takes a regular SFX compact power supply, doesn't have any giant extra fans like getting a decomm'd enterprise server off eBay. - Powerful (or as powerful as you want it). Since it just takes a MicroATX board, I have consolidated many services into one including all my Proxmox VMs, as I installed my own Ryzen 5600 processor instead of having to deal with some integrated low-end N95 or 100 CPU. Has room for 3 or 4 PCIe slots (half height) on your ITX/mATX board as well. Cons: - As mentioned, having the right side bay (inlcuding the 2.5" drives) need to be manually set up with the SATA power and cabling is a bit of a PIA. But this is a very inexpensive device. But I only needed two drives on that side. - No remote console. You can obviously DIY one yourself (I got the AOOCOO HDMI USB KVM Extender Over Cat 6/7 to solve this). Some IPMI module with built-in power would be ideal, but again this is not enterprise hardware and it's certainly not enterprise pricing. I am super happy I took a chance on this, will report back if I have any issues, but so far it's been at least a month and has been smooth sailing.

Nice looking case, but lacks airflow.
Lovely case for a small ATX or ITX motheboard. Great for a styled build, blending nice in my office. However, I will take 1 star because: 1st the HDD barely have airflow. I found a 3d print mod that fixes this. However, it takes away from the nice looks of the case. If I were to seriously use this, I will add the mod because it can't keep HDD temperature low with the current set up 2nd barely can't fit a CPU cooler on this. I had to use a ITX cooler. Be aware.

Quality and Features one has come to expect with this Brand!
I had a special "non-NAS" need and frankly hadn't heard of this brand before. Jonsbo and especially this N4 version turned out to be EXACTALLY what i was looking for .... and i honestly think i looked at every case on Amazon over the course of two weeks. Quality was excellent, plenty of ventilation, provided fan was fine, room for extra if needed, good cable routing, both fixed and hot swap drive connections (and with room for a few extra SSDs in the top if needed (I will have 6 HDs, 4 SSDs and 1 M.2 ... with both a USB 3 and USB C on the front front panel (11 drives .... yeah ... it is a special application) .... And for those who care ... it is "Ikea Kallax compatible" if it matters. The white with genuine wood gives it a nice elegant touch for what normally would be a more industrial product. UPDATE: when fully loaded (or overloaded in my case - 11 drives) .... the need for more ventilation other reviewers have noted MOST DEFINATELY IS a thing for the lower drive bays. ..... but as mentioned above ...plenty of room to add more which I WILL be doing! Still a great case!

Good case with cooling issue.
Overall its a good case but it has one major design flaw; no cooling for drives. drives go above 70C normally, you would have to install a fan outside the case to operate in normal temps which ruins the aesthetics of the beautiful case. if it had a fan on drives and both drive cages with hot swap it would have been 5 stars for me. Otherwise the quality, design, accessories, and ease of use are all excellent.

Great small NAS case
Exactly what I was looking for in a NAS case for an Unraid build. The case is well built and the fit and finish is exceptional for the price. The size is perfect if you don't have a lot of space. Only the 4 left most drives are easily swappable without opening the case. Depending on the motherboard you'll want to make sure you have long SATA cables too. Overall I'm very happy with this case.

Looks great, decent build quality, nonexistent instructions
Bought this case for a NAS/media cabinet. Wife acceptance factor required something looking slightly less industrial than the usual gear. While the case has enough room horizontally for the mATX standard and has decent ergonomics when it comes to wire routing, finding a discrete GPU that fits is a challenge. I managed to get a low-profile Arc GPU for it which fits, but barely. 8 HDD bays are nice even though not all bays supposedly support hotswap. Instructions did not cover connecting power to the disk daughterboard, but there's a couple of building tutorials online that cover this. Case airflow is not great. So far I have not pushed the disk temperatures to anywhere near the critical mark, but the disks do run a bit hotter than I would prefer(~55-60 C on full load). The case would definitely benefit from having intake fans behind the front mesh.

Could have been great!
Decent little case, looks nice, I put it in one of those 4 cubby shelf things from IKEA, fits perfectly with no airflow issues (the shelf is not quite up against the wall). I did proactively replace drive fan with one of my Phanteks 120mm. One issue I have with this case is that the backplane should have included the other 2 3.5” slots. This isn’t a dealbreaker and I knew this going in, but still would have been a nice-to-have. My biggest issue with this case is that the onboard backplane that came with it is garbage. I run Truenas and was getting tons of iCRC errors which is usually a cable issue, except my SATA and power cables are all known-good. Knowing that, I tried bypassing the backplane and lo-and-behold, the iCRC errors are gone… Not sure if it is a power issue, as the input only has 1 molex and 1 SATA power for 4 drives, or a SATA trace issue in the PCB, but I now have a hotswappable case but no hotswap capability. Pretty disappointed tbh…

Fairly loud fan, nice case otherwise. Fits my needs pretty well. Don't forget you need an SFC PSU, and modular is really handy to keep the voids as clear as possible for airflow.

The case is excellent. I upgraded from an old NAS case from the 2017 era, which had become difficult to work on. At one point, a screw even fell onto the motherboard without me noticing. Luckily, the motherboard went into protection mode and only needed a hard reset. Although it was more expensive on Amazon than at other retailers, none of them had it in stock with immediate delivery, so I can’t fault the case for that. I replaced the supplied fan with a BeQuiet and added a 60 mm Noctua fan. There might even be space for a 40 mm fan, though I’m not entirely sure. Temperatures are far better than with my old NAS case, and it looks much better too.

Great for a small home NAS comes with a 3 pin 120mm fan in the back that I upgraded to a PWM to manage the fan curve better. Manual doesn't really have any information in it about clearances so I have to check their website. Top shelf is small so make sure you get a LP CPU cooler. Out side of the case gives it a nice look if you dont have a closet/rack to hide it in.

Really great case. Plenty of drive bays for a small NAS, and it's decently laid out and doesn't use alan keys like the n3. Only issue is the top cavity where the board sits was simply too short and I didn't check (I underestimated the dimensions). This case requires a minimum combined board height of 92mm, before you purchase make sure your heatsink has enough clearance! I had to settle with the N3 instead.

Its a nice, functional case for a small at home NAS. Leaves a little to be desired in the cooling department though as there is only 1 (a little noisy) 120mm fan mounted in exhaust at the back and no other pre-drilled fan mounting holes on the case at all. Now I say pre-drilled because if you're like me and are running a bit of a larger array and populate all the hard drive bays you'll notice this thing gets a little warm. You can tinker like I did and enlarge a few of the mesh holes on top and fit 2 120s on the top and I was able to squeeze 2 92mm slim fans in the front of the bays just affixed with some good 2 sided tape. You'll have to forgo the drive handles supplied by jonsbo in that case though. As far as functionality though everything works as described. There are a few fan mods to 3D print out there for these jonsbo cases .
