As noted by manufacturer, this is a gentle, moisturising cleanser, that removes makeup easily. The skin on my face feels plump and fine lines are less obvious after use. It’s a product I’ll definitely going to purchase regularly.

I know I can trust Lumene products so I'm not sure why I was anxious about this one but there was no need. It melts away my make up which I admit is pretty light anyway but I'm especially impressed at how it melts away my mascara - which usually proves quite tough to remove - with ease. It leaves my skin feeling soft, not dry or tight, and best of all it doesn't sting my eyes at all.

Was expecting a bit more for the price. It’s a nice cleanser, goes on the skin and washes off easily - but it’s just that - nice. Similar to cleansers about half the price.

Very soothing cleanser, and a pleasure to use. It's become my every day first step in double cleansing and it's perfect for this. If I have on eye make up, though, I do use a make-up remover balm first as I believe (haven't tried it) this product might be too gentle for mascara and such.

I like this facial cleanser from Lumene (Nordic Hydra Oat Milk Oil Cleanser.) It comes in a pump bottle and is more liquid in texture than a thick cream. I can not really detect a scent. It does a good job cleansing my face and my face feels very clean after use. My face does feel hydrated after use. I usually feel like I need to apply moisturizer right away, but not with this cleanser. I don’t wear a lot of make-up and this cleanser does a good job removing what I do wear – except for mascara. This is my first time using a beauty product from Finland. It makes me want to try more. Nice facial cleanser.

"This oat milk cleansing oil is not your average milk cleanser." Accurate. "It gently yet effectively acts as a make up remover", less so. Running the ingredients through incidecoder, there's nothing icky here. At all. Everything here is super clean. I've been really impressed with how gentle and non-irritating this is. I have sensitive skin and this hasn't in any way set me off. It's super moisturizing, hydrating. I appreciate it's very fragrance free, vegan, all of that. Packaging is great, pump, clean. Very responsive (you can control how much product you get). Attractive, does everything here right. As a first in a two-step cleanse... definitely not my favorite. I think my issue is that most of my cleansing oils emulsify when you apply water, this not as much. Or at all. So far it kind of really doesn't touch my makeup at all. During the warmer months I lean heavily into wearing my MAC F&B, so I could get some of it not budging, though generally oil cleansers make super quick work of it, and that isn't the case here. It doesn't do great for my eyebrow pencils, definitely isn't great at removing mascara... even leaves some of my blush depending on which I'm wearing. It DID remove my super lazy-day Fenty powder foundation. I can give it this. I worry the issue may be me and my propensity for "this is gonna last all day" products, so I don't want to dock this product too much here. My favorite oil cleansers are insanely effective Korean brands, it might not be a fair comparison, and those are NOT as gentle on my skin. Those things said, there are also a lot of days where I don't wear makeup, do wear sunscreen, do want to switch from daytime moisturizer to night, and in this case: this is really nice. It's really hydrating/moisturizing. Using this instead of a traditional cleanser, rinsing my face, then applying my nighttime skincare, this is kind of magical. The product itself has a light lotion texture, applies clear, rinses... awkwardly. But drying my face with a towel/using a microfiber to kind of remove any excess, really leaves my skin feeling insanely soft, hydrated, moisturized. It's super gentle and I don't think a lot of people will appreciate this method of use, but it really is lovely as a non-stripping stand-alone cleanser. I feel a little torn on what to say here. My first reaction to using it as a makeup remover was "into the trash with you", but spending more time with this... I think the space where it excels is weird. I don't love that it has Xylitol (I love Xylitol: for humans. I'm a paranoid keeper of cats.) Fortunately Xylitol is super low on the listing and my cats aren't in the habit of licking my face (they prefer grooming the bearded men in the house... who actually let them). I DO love the rest of the formulation (Propanediol; my skins one true LOVE). I'm not sure if I find this indispensable yet, I think I'll know by the end of the bottle. There are more days I don't wear makeup than I do, and this absolutely has a home in my routine. I feel like this is a fantastic product that's done dirty by trying to wedge it into a category (makeup removing oil cleanser) that it doesn't entirely fail at, but is a comparatively weak performer in. Particularly when it does have an application where it's pretty unique and different. I think if you're someone with really sensitive skin, barrier concerns, that can kind of handle a bit of product hanging around after rinsing, who wants a really gentle non-stripping lotion-oil cleanser, this could very easily be the answer for you. I want to rate this five stars, but the makeup removing bit isn't it for me. That said, I wouldn't change that about this product. It's something else, and that something is lovely for what it is.
