I have carried an original Skachet in my gear since the 1970s. Definitely an excellent piece of hunting and Bushcraft gear. The last original Skachet that I had to purchase a couple of years ago after mine was stolen cost me $160 from a collector. I ordered two and we'll probably order a couple of more when the funds become available. It's small enough and light enough to carry in your pack no problem and we'll handle most Camp chores. And man is this thing great for fleshing a pelt. If you've got one of these in your pack and a good quality 4-in bladed knife you can handle just about any critter

I purchased as a gift for a friend. He's wanted one forever. I don't know if there the same as they were 45 yrs ago, but the quality is great now. It is a very useful multi task piece of kit. I tested the hardness on rc scale and it was on the money. Great for the outdoorsman.

Exactly as ordered and expected. Be forewarned, you WILL need the 2 little screws that come with it screwed in to stabilize the hatchet if you intend to use it. But other than that, exactly what I was expecting.

Got this for a gift for my dad and he absolutely loved it! It’s surprisingly heavy for its size, but in a good way, because of how good of quality it is!! Extremely sharp and durable. Has a good grip too for the size. The perfect multi tool for any outdoorsman. He had no complaints about this! It is definitely worth the price.

First one I ordered was opened and appeared to be previously used. There was a bunch of wood chips all over the blade and box. However when I contacted the company they sent out a new one right away and it's great. It feels well built and sharp. It's a good carrying size not too heavy but has some weight behind it to make it effective if you attach a handle. Overall very cool product and would make a great gift.

Ok of all the things I have seen and used, this is one of the best. It’s not expensive as a lot of other products on Amazon but it is exactly as described. I have now bought three for my children as well. All I can say is “gettem skinned”. Disclaimer- you are not going to chop down a tree with this thing but for bushcraft, it’s OK for me. I was a bit concerned with the value but changed my mind when I received it.
