The remote that comes with it is a game-changer.It lets me control the lights wirelessly from up to 66 feet away, so I can tweak settings without having to touch the light stick. This is super handy during live recordings or shoots. Plus, the group control feature is a bonus – it makes it a breeze to handle multiple lights at once, and really boosts my productivity.The light stick is fairly sturdy with its tough aluminium alloy shell. It can handle a lot of use and being moved around. The handle can tilt 180°, so you can angle the light however you need, whether you’re holding it or it’s on the stand. Ideally the light wand requires a battery for hand use (not provided). It is NP-F550, NP-F750 and NP-F970 compatible, if you use video a lot you probably have suitable batteries already to hand. When using on a light stand the light wand can be powered by the power adapter supplied and remote control means you will not have to struggle to reach to make adjustments to the settings.There are various settings that can be adjusted: brightness, colour temperature and channel. The channel allows different groups to be created and controlled separately when using multiple light wands. The physical filters are flimsy and I think it will be easy to damage them.The carrycase makes it easy to store and transport the complete lighting setup.In terms of openness, I was sent this item for an impartial review under the Amazon Vine program.

The light wand is well made and very robust, remote control has good range and response. There is option to change brightness and also a range of warm to cool colour light. It would be good for night photography and adding special effect to slow shutter speed etc. The option to mount battery on it opening a lot of possibilities for off site photoshoot, the display is nice and bright and control can be set in step of 1% power.It is small and compact and light weight but also could do with more power output.
