The Norton Anthology of English Literature: Package 1: the Middle Ages / the Sixteenth Century and the Early Seventeenth Century / the Restoration and the Eighteenth Century

The plastic wrapping around the book arrived ripped which kinda sucks since it stated that you can’t return it if the plastic wrapping is ripped. The book itself was okay. However, the pages were very thin and weak, making the book very sensitive to possible damages. I accidentally ripped some of the pages despite being very gentle with it. It’s honestly better just to find an online version of this book.

Great books, need them for my college classes. Very informative and the new edition is really good.

I commend them for printing this on such thin paper while still being easy to read. Since the paper is so thin, these massive tomes are significantly smaller than one would expect and are far easier on the back when taking them to school and back. That said, be careful with placement in a bag. These things like to come open and get smooshed. They bend back okay, but I plan on keeping them, and it's a shame to see them get all beat up. ...which brings me to a point. This isn't just a textbook, this is an authoritative source on the subject that has been around forever. So if you are a literature buff, this is a great addition to the shelf. You get a lot of content, really good commentary and history, and it doesn't take up that much space.
