The test will will be after 1,2,3 years of continuous duty in a sheltered outdoor location. I am experimenting with it as a more economical aerator for our small septic tank and it seems to be working. I may add a second one to increase the churning efficiency of the air flow. It operates with far less noise than I expected from the reviews I read. I also takes up very little space, maybe 8' X 8". I don't think you would notice it if it were bubbling an aquarium in the next room. Review: Just need to figure out what to do with all these old pumps now, lol... - If you're still using regular old aquarium pumps, scratch u up enough for one of these bad boys and you'll never go back. I wasted I'm sure $150+ on cheap pumps from petsmart, Walmart, etc. before ordering this. I replaced a 5-15 gal, a 10-20, a 15-30 gal, 4X 20-60 gal pumps, plus a 50-200 gal pump w just this one and it was still noticeably more bubbly-frothy in the tank, my guess 25% -33% more bubbles, some ppl say these things are kinda loud but I put a hook in a ceiling beam, tied about 6-8' of 550 guts (cord) on there and hung it from the ceiling pointing down, barely hear it now. Also, a pc of plastic tubing from the pump intake back down to the floor, preferably but not necessarily close to an AC vent will not only pull cooler air thru the pump, increasing its efficiency and reducing amount of heat being added to your tank/res

Got this a year ago thought it was a great pump it is kinda loud I built a box around it to muffle the sound then the past few months it has been getting really hot and not pushing as much air I would not buy it because the seller only has a one year warranty

Loud But Efficient
This isn't stealthy sounding by any means! Living in an apartment with thin walls, I'm sure my neighbors were annoyed by the sound of this product. It works really well , though, if you're trying to make compost tea for garden or ornamental plants.

Great For Making Compost Tea!
So far so good. I've only used it a few times so far for making compost tea. But those few times I've had the pump on for a continuous 48 hours. Im using it with a five gallon paint bucket and it's more than enough to get the brew bubbling. I imagine that there could be many horticultural applications with this here pump. I haven't tried any other similar pumps, but was pleased with the low level of noise from the pump. It does help even further with noise to place the pump on a towel.

works great, little loud at first
the manifold should only be a maximum of 3, only loses one star for noise but this is in my basement I don't hear it outside the room

NO Doubt a Great Pump
It Pushes some Serious Air! Slightly LOUD, but not more so than an older model that you purchase at a Pet Store that's been used, my son has this on a 220g tank pushing 5 lines with an additional 2 breeder tanks pushing lines as well and it just works to perfection. Will probably purchase more in the near future for additional tanks.

Fine tank air pump
Not too noisy. Seems to flow a lot of air. Doesn't have the pressure to push air more than a few feet underwater. So not good for a deep pond but fine for fish tanks and hydroponics.
