It's nice and soft, the perfect size for my desk and it is not as bright and garish as it seemed. It's a little darker in reality and I really liked that. The stitching around the edge is nicely done also. Doesn't seem like it is going to fail any time soon.It seems altogether well made and although I read reviews from other customers saying it smelled weird, I haven't noticed anything at all. The bottom is neon green rubber, which of course smells like rubber, but I haven't noticed it unless I put my nose right up to it. Even then, it just smelled like any other rubber thing I've come across. Nothing crazy.I have a Deathadder Chroma (one of Razer's optical mice) and it tracks so much nicer on this mat than it did on my hard pad. I had an old hard plastic dual sided Alienware pad that I used with my Roccat Kova+ optical mouse and it was fine, but the Deathadder Chroma just didn't seem to like either side.This mat is great so far! Just make sure you pay attention to the measurements and how much space on your desk you want to be covered in the mat. I don't know if it matters but my boyfriend uses the Razer DeathAdder and they work like a charm together. It's very thin but great quality.The size is great too. I was a little spooked because I'd never seen a mousepad this large before but it fits across the desk, with enough room for the keyboard (also a Razer). Now I get why you'd want a pad this large. It allows for really fluid movement with the mouse.He's been using it for almost two months now and it looks brand new. Don't get me wrong the artwork looks decent but I prefer to put my keyboard over the razer logo, and the rest looks like green droplets which is ok. Id have preferred a no logo or some design options (like just black maybe?)The underside rubber is neon mint green.
